Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh jumlah kunjungan perpustakaan masih rendah karena karyawan merasa jenuh untuk datang ke perpustakaan saat waktu istirahat, padahal salah satu fungsi perpustakaan adalah fungsi rekreasi. Permasalahan umum yang dikaji pada penelitian ini yaitu apakah perpustakaan khusus sudah memenuhi fungsi rekreasi perpustakaan sesuai dengan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka. Dengan permasalahan khusus meliputi 1) Apakah perpustakaan PT Trisula Textile Industries telah melaksanakan fungsi rekreasi perpustakaan; 2) Apakah perpustakaan PT Trisula Textile Industries telah memenuhi kebutuhan informasi karyawan PT Trisula Textile Industries. Penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan apakah perpustakaan PT Trisula Textile Industries sudah memenuhi fungsi rekreasi perpustakaan sesuai dengan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT Trisula Textile Industries, dengan jumlah sampel 88 orang yang telah dihitung berdasarkan rumus Slovin dan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan skala likert untuk memperoleh jawaban yang pasti. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan PT Trisula Textile Industries telah melaksanakan fungsi rekreasi perpustakaan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pemustaka. ---------- This research was based on the fact that the amount of library visitation was still qualified as low due to the weary feeling of the staff to come to library during the break time. The general issue being examined in this study was whether or not the special library has fulfilled the recreational function according to the user's need of information. Along with the specific issues which covered the following: 1) has the library of PT. Trisula Textile Industries implemented the recreationa function of the library; 2) has the library of PT. Trisula Textile Industries fulfilled the information need of the PT Trisula Textile Industries' staff. This research was aimed to describe if the library of PT. Trisula Textile Industries can be considered as fulfilling the recreational function of the library according to the user's need of information The population of this research was the staff of PT. Trisula Textile Industries, with the total samples were 88 people which had been counted based on the Slovin formula and the sampling technique used was random sampling. The data collection was carried out by using the questionnaire which based on Likert scale to gain certain answers. This research used the quantitative approach along with the descriptive method. The result of this study indicated that the library of PT Trisula Textile Industries had implemented the recreation function of the library in fulfilling the user's need of information.
