PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN KONEKSI MATEMATIS SISWA SMP DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN LAPS-HEURISTIK

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan komunikasi matematis untuk dikuasai siswa. Pada kenyataanya banyak penelitian menyebutkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan koneksi matematis siswa indonesia masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dilakukan upaya penerapan model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Metode penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII salah satu MTsN di Kabupaten Jember, yang terdiri dari 37 siswa kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh pembelajaran LAPS-Heuristik dan 36 siswa kelas kontrol yang memperoleh pembelajaran saintifik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran LAPS-Heuristik lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran saintifik pada keseluruhan siswa dan pada kategori KAM sedang dan rendah, 2) peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran LAPS-Heuristik lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran saintifik pada keseluruhan siswa dan pada kategori KAM sedang dan rendah, 3) adanya sikap positif siswa terhadap model pembelajaran LAPS-Heuristik.---- This research is based on the importance of mathematical problem solving ability and mathematical connection ability to be mastered by students. In fact many studies say that the problem solving ability and mathematical connections of Indonesian students is low. Therefore, to overcome this effort to apply the model of learning to improve students mathematical problem solving ability and mathematical connection ability. Research method in this research is quasi experiment. The subjects of this study were the seventh grade students of one MTsN in Jember District, which consisted of 37 experimental class students who received LAPS-Heuristic learning and 36 control class students who received scientific study. The results of the study showed: 1) improvement of mathematical problem solving ability of students who received LAPS-Heuristic learning better than students who received scientific study on whole students and in medium and low prior mathematic ability, 2) improvement of mathematical connection ability of students who received LAPS-Heuristic learning better than students who received scientific learning on the whole students and in moderate and low prior mathematic ability, 3) positive student attitudes toward the LAPS-Heuristic learning model.
