Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perilaku kekerasan orangtua terhadap anak masih tinggi dan meningkat pada tiap tahunnya, salah satu sebab terjadinya hal tersebut yakni pemahaman orangtua terhadap anak. Pandangan orangtua terhadap anak akan mempengaruhi pola pengasuhan, terdapat pula faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi pola pengasuhan yakni faktor pengetahuan orangtua. Pemerintah memberikan upaya dalam membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan orangtua dalam mengasuh anak untuk lebih baik yakni melalui program Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB). Keberadaan program tersebut belum sepenuhnya diminati semua orangtua karena beberapa alasan seperti kesibukan orangtua, ketidaktahuan mengenai program dan lainnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni memberikan informasi mengenai: (1) persepsi orangtua mengenai nilai anak, (2) perbedaan pola asuh orangtua peserta dengan bukan peserta Bina Keluarga Balita, (3) persepsi orangtua mengenai program BKB. Kajian teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni konsep pola asuh orangtua dalam keluarga, konsep nilai anak dalam keluarga dan konsep program Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB). Metode yang digunakan yakni penelitian survey dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan teknik angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini, orangtua yang memiliki anak usia dini 2-5 tahun di Rukun Warga 11 Kampung Sukamaju Desa Kayuambon Kabupaten Bandung Barat, dengan jumlah sampel 47 orangtua. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diambil kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) Persepsi orangtua peserta dengan bukan peserta BKB mengenai nilai anak (religi, sosial, ekonomi. psikologi) memiliki perbedaan hanya pada nilai psikologi seperti pandangan bahwa anak dapat memberikan jaminan di hari tua. (2) pola asuh orangtua peserta dengan bukan peserta BKB dalam aspek kedisiplinan, perilaku orangtua kepada anak dan pemberian penghargaan kepada anak tidak terdapat perbedaan dan berada pada tipe pola asuh authoritative (3) persepsi orangtua yang mengikuti program BKB sangatlah baik, dan sudah merasakan manfaat dari keikutsertaan orangtua dalam program BKB;--- The research is backgrounded by the violent behavior parents against children is still high and increased each year, one of the causes of the occurrence that is the understanding of parents towards the child. Parent's view of the child will affect patterns of parenting, there are other factors that can affect the pattern of parenting that is one the factors of parental knowledge. The government provides efforts in helping increase knowledge and skills of parents in parenting for the better through Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) program. The existence of the program has not yet fully demanded by all parents who have early childhood, for several reasons such as parent's busyness, ignorance about the importance of the program and others. The purpose of this research is to provide information about: (1) perceptions of parents about child value, (2) difference between parenting pattern of participant with non-participant BKB, (3) perceptions of parent about BKB program. The study of the theory used in this research is the concept of parenting parent in families, the concept of the children value in family and the concept of Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) program. The method used is survey research with cross-sectional approach. Data collection using question technique. The population of this research is parents who have children aged 2 - 5 years in Rukun Warga 11 Kampung Sukamaju Village Kayuambon West Bandung district, with a sample of 47 parents. Based on the results of the research can be concluded as follows: (1) parent perceptions of participants and non-participants BKB about the children value of children (in religious, social, economic, psychology) has only the value of psycology such as the view that children can give a guarantee in the old day. (2) parenting pattern of parent participant and non-participant BKB program in discipline aspect, parent behavior to the child and giving appreciation to child there is no difference and the type of authoritative parenting. (3) perceptions of parents who participant BKB program very good, and already feeling benefit from parent participation in the BKB program.
