Summary: | The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between social support and self-esteem on cigarettes sales promotion girl in Bandung. The sample of this research are 152 cigarettes sales promotion girl that work in Bandung City by using purposive sampling as the sampling technique. The data was obtained throuh Social support scale which refers to the theory Sarafino (2011) to measure social support and Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSI) to measure self-esteem that had been translated and adapted by researcher. This research used the correlational quantitative approach with Spearman's Rho analysis technique to find the relationship between the variable. This research obtained correlation by -0,669 which indicates that there is no relationship between social support with self esteem on cigarettes sales promotion girl.---- Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan self-esteem pada sales promotion girl rokok di Kota Bandung. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 152 sales promotion girl rokok yang bekerja di Bandung berusia antara 18-32 tahun dengan menggunakan purposive sampling sebagai teknik sampling. Data diperoleh melalui instrumen social support scale yang mengacu pada teori Sarafino (2011) untuk mengukur dukungan sosial dan Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSI) untuk mengukur self-esteem yang telah diterjemahkan dan diadaptasi oleh peneliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik analisis Spearman's Rho untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel. Penelitian ini memperoleh korelasi sebesar -0,069 yang menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan self esteem pada sales promotion girl rokok. |
