HUBUNGAN KECEMASAN SOSIAL DENGAN PRESENTASI DIRI PADA MAHASISWA PERANTAU ANGKATAN 2016 DI PERGURUAN TINGGI NEGERI KOTA BANDUNG

Summary

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecemasan sosial dengan presentasi diri pada mahasiswa perantau angkatan 2016 di perguruan tinggi negeri Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif metode korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dengan 350 responden mahasiswa yang berasal dari luar jawa angkatan 2016 di perguruan tinggi negeri badan hukum yaitu UPI, UNPAD, dan ITB. Instumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecemasan sosial adalah Liebowitz Social Axiety Scale (LSAS) dan presentasi diri menggunakan Self Presentation Tactics (SPT). Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan Pearson Product Moment. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara kecemasan sosial dengan presentasi diri tipe defensive maupun tipe assertive dengan koefisien korelasi sangat rendah dan arah hubungan yang positif yang berarti semakin tinggi kecemasan sosial semakin tinggi juga presentasi diri defensive maupun assertive, begitupun sebaliknya.---- The aim at this research is to gain information about the relation between social axiety with self presentation to the 2016's overseas student in University of Bandung. This research using the correlational quantitative method. The sample of this research using sampling purposive with 350 respondent of the 2016's students who come from outside Java in legal entity which are UPI, UNPAD, and ITB. The instrument used to measure the social anxiety is Liebowitz Social Anxiey Scale (LSAS) and Self-Presentation is used Self Presentation Tactics (SPT). The analysis technique of this research using Pearson Product Moment. The results from this research are a relation between social anxiety with defensive type or assertive type of self presentation that has a low correlation coefisien and a positive direction relation which means that if the social anxiety is high, so the defensive or assertive type of self presentation will high.
