Summary: | The research is motivated by the phenomenon of off-task behavior of students in every level of education and elementary school is the first formal education level that became the basis in the development of student learning behavior. The main focus of the research is reducing off-task behavior through classroom management based on guidance. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of classroom management based on guidance in reducing off-task behavior of students. The research used quantitative and qualitative approach with collaborative action research design with 25 students of Class III-A 01 Al-Azhar Elementary Islamic School South Jakarta as its participants. The results show that effective classroom management based on guidance reduces off-task behavior characterized by a decrease in the percentage of overall off-task behavior and the decrease in the number of students in the high and low categories. Effective classroom management based on guidance effectively reduces off-task behavior on the solitary aspect.---- Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya fenomena-fenomena perilaku off-task siswa pada setiap jenjang pendidikan dan Sekolah Dasar merupakan jenjang pendidikan formal pertama yang menjadi dasar dalam perkembangan perilaku belajar siswa. Permasalahan utama yang menjadi fokus penelitian adalah reduksi perilaku off-task melalui manajemen kelas berbasis bimbingan. Tujuan penelitian adalah menguji keefektifan manajemen kelas berbasis bimbingan dalam mereduksi perilaku off-task siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian tindakan kolaboratif dengan 25 orang siswa Kelas III-A SD Islam Al-Azhar 01 Jakarta Selatan sebagai partisipannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan manajemen kelas berbasis bimbingan efektif mereduksi perilaku off-task yang ditandai oleh adanya penurunan persentase perilaku off-task secara keseluruhan dan penurunan jumlah siswa pada kategori tinggi dan rendah. Manajemen kelas berbasis bimbingan efektif mereduksi perilaku off-task pada aspek solitary. |
