Summary:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan kemampuan membaca kritis mahasiswa semester 7 Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI tahun akademik 2017/2018 sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajaran Decision Making; (2) mengukur tingkat efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran Decision Making dalam pembelajaran membaca kritis bahasa Perancis; dan (3) menginformasikan kelebihan dan kekurangan penerapan model pembelajaran Decision Making dalam pembelajaran membaca kritis bahasa Perancis. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pre-experiment dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttes. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes dan angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 7 Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI dan dengan mengambil sampel penelitian sebanyak 28 orang. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan statistik diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 4,84 dan nilai ttabel sebesar 2,473 sehingga thitung > ttabel, yang artinya hipotesis kerja dalam penelitian ini diterima. Maka, penggunaan model pembelajaran Decision Making dianggap efektif dalam pembelajaran membaca kritis teks bahasa Perancis. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh nilai rata-rata prates mahasiswa sebesar 19,3 dan nilai rata-rata pascates sebesar 21,9. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya kenaikan nilai sebesar 2,6 setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Decision Making. Sebanyak 83% mahasiswa menganggap model pembelajaran tersebut cocok dengan alasan model pembelajaran tersebut menekankan terhadap pemahaman teks secara menyeluruh sehingga mereka dapat berpikir lebih kritis mengenai masalah yang ada dalam teks. Sedangkan, sebanyak 17% menyatakan tidak cocok dengan alasan model pembelajaran tersebut terlalu rumit.---- The aims of this research are to describe : (1) the result of the study before and after the use of Decision Making learning model in French critical reading of seventh semester students, (2) the level of effectiveness of Decision Making learning model in French critical reading of seventh semester students, and (3) the responses of student about the Decision Making learning model in French critical reading. The methode used in this study is pre-experiment design with one group pre-test and post-test. The techniques of the data collection used are litterature studies, test, and questionnaire. The subject of this study are 28 students of the seventh semester of Frech Education Departement FPBS UPI in Academic Year 2017/2018. Based on the result of statistical calculation, the data is as follows; the value of tcount is 4,84 and the value of ttable is 2,473, thus tcount > ttable, it means that the hypothesis in this study is accepted. Therefore, the use of Decision Making learning model is considered effective in French critical reading. Furthermore, the average value of pre-test (x ̅) is 19,3 and the average value of post-test (y ̅) is 21,9. It shows an increased value around 2,6. The students responses in using the Decision Making learning model can be seen from the questionnaire that have been prepared. About 83% of the students assumed that decision making learning model is applied for critical reading because it emphasizes the comprehension of the text thoroughly so that they can think more critically about the problems in the text. Meanwhile, 17% of the students assumed that it didn't match because it is too complicated.
