Kecamatan Cikijing terkenal sebagai daerah yang mengembangkan industri konfeksi yaitu jeans. Industri konfeksi jeans tersebut, telah menjadi sorotan masyarakat dalam memperluas kesempatan kerja yang tentunya dapat meningkatkan pendapatan pada sektor industri, Keberadaan industri konfeksi jeans dapat mempengaruhi kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat disekitarnya, tidak sedikit masyarakat yang bekerja menjadi karyawan di perusahaan konfeksi jeans tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini diantaranya untuk (1) menganalisis kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat sebelum adanya industri konfeksi jeans di Kecamatan Cikijing Kabupaten Majalengka, (2) menganalisi kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat sesudah adanya industri konfeksi jeans di Kecamatan Cikijing Kabupaten Majalengka, dan (3) menganalisis tingkat perbedaan kondisi sosial ekonomi yang dipengaruhi oleh adanya konfeksi jeans di Kecamatan Cikijing Kabupaten Majalengka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis paired sample t test. Sampel dalam penelitiain ini terdiri dari sampel manusia yang diambil menggunakan teknik proportional sampling. Hasil penelitian ini diantaranya (1) hasil menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kondisis sosial ekonomi sebelum keberadaan industri konfeksi jeans adalah rendah. (2) tingkat kondisis sosial ekonomi sesudah keberadaan industri konfeksi jeans adalah sedang. (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari keberadaan industri konfeksi jeans di Kecamatan Cikijing Kabupaten Majalengka.---- Cikijing subdistrict is well-known as the area that develop jeans convection industry. This industry became a center of attention to community in expanding job opportunity that increase industrial sector income. The existence of jeans confection industry can influence the condition of the community social-economic in around this industry, there is not small number of society that become a workforce in this jeans confection company. The purpose of this study were to (1) analize the condition of the community social-economic before jeans confection industry was exist in Cikijing subdistrict Majalengka regency., (2) analize the condition of the community social-economic after jeans confection industry was exist in Cikijing subdistrict Majalengka regency, (3) analize the difference level of the community social-economic that is affected by the existence of jeans confection industry in Cikijing subdistrict Majalengka regency. Research method that is used was quantitative descriptive with paired sample t test analysis. Sample of this research included human sample that was taken by proportional sampling technic. Research findings of this study are (1) the result shows that social-economic condition before the existence of jeans confection industry was low. (2) the result shows that social-economic condition after the existence of jeans confection industry was middle position. (3) The result shows that there is significantly different that is affected by the existence of jeans confection industry in Cikijing subdistrict Majalengka regency.
