Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena adanya kemudahan memperoleh sumber pendanaan untuk menambah modal perusahaan, salah satunya dengan melakukan corporate action. Salah satu jenis corporate action yang dapat dilakukan perusahaan dengan cara yang mudah dan cepat untuk memperoleh dana adalah dengan melakukan right issue. Right issue merupakan salah satu upaya perusahaan agar memperoleh dana untuk keperluan investasi, memperbaiki struktur modal, meningkatkan likuiditas perusahaan, dan meningkatkan nilai perusahaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis profitabilitas dan likuiditas sebelum dan sesudah melakukan right issue. Penelitian dilakukan pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI yang melakukan right issue pada sektor industri non keuangan tahun 2013 dan 2014. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 18 perusahaan, dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan profitabilitas yang diukur menggunakan ROA sebelum dan sesudah right issue. Tidak terdapat perbedaan likuiditas yang diukur dengan CR sebelum dan sesudah right issue.----- This research is based on the ease of obtaining funding sources to increase the company's capital, the fund can be obtained by corporate action. One of the corporate action that can be done by company in an easy and quick to obtain funds for the company is right issue. Right issue is one of the company's efforts to obtain funds that can be used for investment purposes, improve the company's capital structure, and increase the value of the company. This research is done to analyze the profitability and liquidity before and after employing the right issue. The subjects of this research are companies listed in the BEI which have employed the right issue on the non-financial industry sector between the year of 2013 and 2014. The sampling technique utilized in this research is purposive sampling with 18 companies as the samples, and hypothesis testing using a paired sample t test. The result showed that : there is an apparent profitability difference measured by ROA before and after employing the right issue. There is no apparent difference measured by CR before and after employing the right issue.
