Sumartini , MP ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh penerapan metode problem solving tipe SSCS (Seacrch, Solve, Create and Share) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam mata pelajaran ekonomi dengan materi perdagangan internasional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control group design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI IPS 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes tertulis yang berbentuk pilihan ganda. Analisis data menggunakan uji t (paired-sample t test dan independent sample t test). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis pada eksperimen setelah diberi perlakuan berupa metode problem solving tipe SSCS (Seacrch, Solve, Create and Share) lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum diberi perlakuan dengan peningkatan pada kategori sedang, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode problem solving tipe SSCS (Seacrch, Solve, Create and Share) lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah. Sumartini , MP ABSTRACT This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of the application of problem solving methods of the SSCS type (Seacrch, Solve, Create and Share) to students' critical thinking skills in economic subjects with international trade material. The research method used was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS 3 as an experimental class and class XI IPS 1 as a control class. The research instrument is a written test in the form of multiple choice. Data analysis used t-test (paired-sample t test and independent sample t test). The results showed that the critical thinking skills in the experiment after being treated in the form of problem solving methods type SSCS (Seacrch, Solve, Create and Share) were better than before being treated with an increase in the medium category, and students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class using the method problem solving type SSCS (Seacrch, Solve, Create and Share) is better than the control class that uses the lecture method.
