PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS PADA SISWA KELAS III SEKOLAH DASAR

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan prinsip pendekatan matematis realistis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas III, dan (2) peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas III dengan menerapkan pendekatan matematika realistis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart yang dimulai dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi, yang kemudian dilakukan perbaikan perencanaan untuk digunakan pada siklus berikutnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III pada salah satu sekolah dasar Kecamatan Sukajadi Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 29 siswa pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini menerapkan prinsip pendekatan mateamtika realistik, yaitu: 1) Didactical Phenomenology; 2) Progressive mathematizing; 3) Guided reinvention; dan 4) Self developed models. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan klasik siklus I adalah 44,83% mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 93,10%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas III sekolah dasar dapat ditingkatkan dengan menerapkan pendekatan matematika realistis.;--Research background of low understanding of mathematical concepts. This study aims to describe: (1) implementation of learning by applying the principle of realistic mathematical approach to improve understanding of mathematics concepts of third grade, and (2) improving the students' understanding of mathematical concepts of third grade by applying realistic mathematical approach. This research used the Classroom Action Research Method (PTK) with Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model that starts planning, action, observation, and reflection, which then made improvement planning for use in the next cycle. This research was conducted in two cycles. Participants of this study are students of third grade at Primary School Subdistic Sukajadi City Bandung which amounted to 29 students in the school year 2017/2018. This research implementation the principle of realistic mathematical approach, that is: 1) Didactical Phenomenology; 2) Progressive mathematizing; 3) Guided reinvention; and 4) Self developed models. The results showed that classical completeness of cycle I was 44.83% and an increase in cycle II of classical completeness of 93.10%. Based on the results of this study can be concludes that the understanding of mathematical concepts of grade III Primary School students can be improved by applying realistic mathematical approach.
