Summary: | Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mate pelajaran ekonomi kelas XI IPS SMA Terpadu Riyadlul Ulum Kota Tasikmalaya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran cooperative learning teknik jigsaw terhadap kemapuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi materi perdagangan internasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan motode kuasi eksperimen dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis berbentuk uraian. Hipotesis diuji menggunakan uji parametrik yaitu uji independent-samples t test dan paired-sample t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (i) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen antara sebelum dan setelah diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran cooperative learning teknik jigsaw pada materi perdagangan internasional pada kategori sedang; (ii) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran cooperative learning teknik jigsaw dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah. The main problem in this research is grade XI Social students' low critical thinking ability in economy subject in SMA Terpadu Riyadlul Ulum Kota Tasikmalaya. The aim of this research is to know the effect of cooperative learning model with technique of Jigsaw towards students' critical thinking ability in Economy subject under the topic of Intenational trades. This study used quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. The instrument of this study is written test in the form of essay. The hypotheses were tested using a parametric test, paired-sample t-test and independent samples t-test. The result of this study showed that: (i) there is difference in the improvement of students' critical thinking ability in experiment class before and after the treatment of cooperative learning model with technique of Jigsaw, the improvement category is medium; (ii) there is a difference in improvement of students' critical thinking ability between experiment class with the treatment of cooperative learning model with techniques of jigsaw and control class that used conventional.
