Summary:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir analisis peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik Think-Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) dan teknik Group Investigation, perbedaan kemampuan berpikir analisis peserta didik antara kelas yang menggunakan teknik TAPPS dan teknik Group Investigation dengan metode ceramah bervariasi dan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir analisis peserta didik yang menggunakan teknik Group Investigation lebih baik dibandingkan dengan menggunakan teknik TAPPS. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir analisis peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik TAPPS dan teknik Group Investigation. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir analisis peserta didik yang menggunakan teknik TAPPS dan teknik Group Investigation lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan metode ceramah bervariasi. Penggunaan teknik Group Investigation lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan teknik TAPPS dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir analsis peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Teknik Think-Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS), Teknik Group Investigation dan Kemampuan Berpikir Analisis Abstract This research aimed to seek the difference on the students' analytical thinking ability before and after learning by using Think-Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) technique and Group Investigation technique; the difference on the students' analytical thinking ability between the classes, which were given TAPPS technique and Group Investigation technique respectively andthe class, which was given various lecturing methods; and the higher level of the students' analytical thinking ability when employing Group Investigation technique than with TAPPS technique. This research was a quasi-experimental study by using non-equivalent control group design. The results showed that there was an improvement on the students' analytical thinking ability before and after learning by using TAPPS technique and Group Investigation technique. Improved students' analytical skills using TAPPS techniques and Group Investigation techniques are higher than those of varying lecture methods. The use of Group Investigation techniques is more effective than those TAPPS techniques in improving students' thinking skills.
