Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tuturan-tuturan di masyarakat yang tidak mematuhi prinsip kesantunan dalam berbahasa, Pelanggaran terhadap prinsip kesantunan berbahasapun dapat ditemukan dalam acara yang ditayangkan di media televisi. Padahal kegiatan komunikasi akan terjalin dengan baik dan harmonis apabila para penutur dan mitra tutur dapat memperhatikan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk tuturan politisi, kesantunan berbahasa politisi, nilai komunikatif yang terdapat dalam tuturan politisi, serta bentuk pemanfaatan hasil penelitian berupa modul pembelajaran teks debat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan, ditemukan hasil bahwa politisi yang terlibat dalam acara diskusi di Mata Najwa Trans7 lebih sering bertutur dalam bentuk ilokusi. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa politisi lebih banyak melanggar prinsip kesantunan berbahasa dalam bertutur. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan terhadap nilai komunikatif tuturan, maka didapatkan hasil bahwa tuturan para politisi mengandung nilai komunikatif yang tidak sesuai dengan bentuk formal kalimatnya. Nilai komunikatif yang banyak ditemukan adalah mengkritik, menginformasikan, memuji, dan menyindir. Selain itu, pemanfaatan hasil penelitian ini digunakan sebagai bahan ajar modul untuk tingkat SMA. Modul yang disusun berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas X tingkat SMA sederajat. Whereas activities will be interwoven with good communication and harmonious if the speaker and hearer can pay attention to the principles of politeness.This research was conducted with the aim to describe the form of utterances of politicians, politicians politeness, communicative value contained in the utterances of politicians, as well as the form of utilization of research results in the form of text learning modules debate. The method used in this research is qualitative method. From the analysis, it was found that the results of the politicians involved in the discussion in Mata Najwa Trans7 more often speak in the form of illocutionary. The results also show that politicians are more violated the principle of politeness in speaking. Based on the analysis of the communicative value of utterances, it showed that the utterances of politicians contain communicative value that does not comply with the formal shapes sentence. Communicative value that is found is to criticize, inform, praise, and satirical. In addition, the utilization of research results are used as teaching material modules for the high school level. Modules are compiled based on the results of these studies can be used in teaching and learning activities in class X level of high school.
