PENERAPAN TEKNIK SHADOWING DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA AUDIO-VISUAL DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BERBICARA BAHASA PERANCIS

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan hasil pembelajaran berbicara sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya teknik shadowing; (2) menguji tingkat efektivitas penerapan teknik shadowing dengan media audio-visual dalam pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Perancis; dan (3) menginformasikan tanggapan siswa terhadap teknik tersebut dalam pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Perancis. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre-experimental design dengan pola one group pre-test - post-test. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 31 orang siswa kelas X UPW 1 SMKN 1 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 dengan teknik random sampling, serta instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes dan angket. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dari hasil prates dan pascates kemampuan berbicara bahasa Perancis. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitungan data statistik mengenai nilai uji t dengan hasil analisis data yang didapatkan dari nilai rata-rata prates adalah 68,9 dan nilai rata-rata pascates mencapai 85,6. Dengan demikian, kemampuan berbicara siswa meningkat 16,8% setelah diterapkannya teknik shadowing. Dari hasil tersebut didapatkan nilai thitung 12,49 dengan db=30. Maka dapat diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa ttabel sebesar 2,04 < thitung sebesar 12,49 untuk taraf signifikansi 5% dan nilai ttabel sebesar 2,75 < thitung sebesar 12,49 untuk taraf signifikansi 1%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa nilai thitung > ttabel yang artinya hipotesis kerja (Hk) diterima. Hal tersebut berarti penggunaan teknik shadowing dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Perancis. Kata kunci: keterampilan berbicara, pembelajaran berbicara, teknik shadowing. This study aims to: (1) describe the ability to speaking to French students before and after using the shadowing technique (2) testing the effectiveness of the application of shadowing technique with audio-visual media in learning to speak French; and (3) inform students' responses to these technique in learning to speak French. The research design used was pre-experimental design with the pattern of one group pre-test-post-test. The study sample amounted to 31 students of class X UPW 1 SMKN 1 Bandung Academic Year 2018/2019 with random sampling techniques and the instruments used in the form of tests and questionnaires. The results of the research obtained showed a significant increase in the results of pre-test and post-ability to speak. This is evidenced by the results of the calculation of statistical data regarding the value of the t test with the results of data analysis obtained from the average pre-test value of 68.9 and the average post-test score reaching 85.6. Thus, students' speaking abilities increased 16.8% after the application of shadowing techniques. From these results, the tcount 12.49 with db = 30 is obtained. Then it can be concluded that the table is 2.04 <tcount of 12.49 for the significance level of 5% and the t table is 2.75 <tcount of 12.49 for the significance level of 1%. This proves that the value of t count> ttable means that the working hypothesis (Hk) is accepted. This means that the use of shadowing techniques can improve learning to speak French.
