Permasalahan yang terjadi dalam pembelajaran geografi yakni rendahnya motivasi belajar peserta didik. Hal ini terbukti dengan perolehan nilai geografi memiliki capaian rata-rata 58,49. Upaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik salah satunya dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran geografi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain post-test only control design. Populasi yang digunakan adalah kelas X IPS SMA Angkasa Lanud Husein Sastranegara Bandung. Sampel penelitian yaitu X IPS D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IPS E sebagai kelas kontrol. Data motivasi belajar peserta didik diperoleh melalui angket motivasi yang diberikan setelah pembelajaran. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis uji t-test, uji linearitas, dan uji regresi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa motivasi belajar pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata 72,6% dengan kriteria tinggi, dan dikelas kontrol memperoleh 70,6% dengan kriteria tinggi. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis nilai probabilitas Sig.2-tailed 0,003 < 0,05, artinya menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match dengan kelas kontrol yang tidak menggunakan model kooperatif tipe make a match. Berdasarkan uji regresi bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match berpengaruh secara positif terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik.;--The problems that occur in geography learning are the low learning motivation of students. This is evidenced by the acquisition of geographic values with an average achievement of 58.49. One of the efforts to improve student motivation is to use the cooperative learning model type make a match. This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model type make a match on students' learning motivation on geography subjects. This study used an experimental method with post-test only control design. The population used is class X IPS at SMA Angkasa Lanud Husein Sastranegara Bandung. The research sample was X IPS D as the experimental class and X IPS E as the control class. Data on learning motivation of students is obtained through a motivation questionnaire given after learning. The analysis used is the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing t-test, linearity test, and regression test. The results of this study indicate that learning motivation in the experimental class obtained an average of 72.6% with high criteria, and in the control class obtained 70.6% with high criteria. Based on the hypothesis test the probability value of Sig.2-tailed 0.003 <0.05, it means that there are differences in the level of learning motivation of experimental class students who use the make a match type cooperative learning model with the control class who do not use the cooperative model type make a match. Based on the regression test that the cooperative learning model type make a match has a positive effect on students' learning motivation.
