Proses pembelajaran yang tidak banyak melibatkan siswa secara aktif serta tidak adanya media yang dapat membantu siswa untuk memvisualisasikan bentuk benda secara 3 dimensi adalah penyebab dari permasalahan tersebut. Oleh karena itu peniliti terdorong untuk melakukan penlitian mengenai pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E (LC 5E) dengan media mock-up terhadap kecerdasan spasial siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model LC 5E dengan media mock-up pada mata pelajaran dasar-dasar konstruksi bangunan dan mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kecerdasan spasial siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode true experiment dengan desain penelitian posttest only control group design. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah kelas X DPIB 3 dan X DPIB 4 SMKN 3 Kuningan. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes kecerdasan spasial dan pedoman observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses pembelajaran model LC 5E telah diterapkan dengan tingkat keterlaksanaan 93%. Selain itu terdapat perbedaan kecerdasan spasial dengan rata-rata 62 untuk kelas eksperimen dan 55 untuk kelas kontrol. Hasil dari uji hipotesis dengan independent sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang positif dan siginifikan dari rata-rata perbedaan kecerdasan spasial siswa.;--This research is motivated by the low level of spatial intelligence of class X DPIB students in SMKN 3 Kuningan. Whereas spatial intelligence is the ability to visualize images in one's thinking. Spatial intelligence is important possessed by Vocational School students competency in Modeling Design and Information Building Design (DPIB), because it is related to the achievement of competencies students must have in drawing 3-dimensional shapes. The learning process that does not involve students actively and the absence of media that can help students to visualize the shape of objects in 3 dimensions is the cause of these problems. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to conduct research on the effect of the Learning Cycle 5E (LC 5E) learning model with mock-up media on students' spatial intelligence. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the LC 5E model with mock-up media on the basics of building construction and determine the differences in students' spatial intelligence. The research method used is the true experiment method with the posttest only control group design research design. The sample of this study was class X DPIB 3 and X DPIB 4 SMKN 3 Kuningan. Data collection instruments using questions of spatial intelligence tests and observation guidelines. The results showed the learning process of the LC 5E model has been applied with a 93% implementation rate. In addition there are differences in spatial intelligence with an average of 62 for the experimental class and 55 for the control class. The results of the hypothesis test with independent sample t-test showed that there were positive and significant differences from the average differences in students' spatial intelligence. |
