Kecenderungan smartphone tidak bisa lepas dari genggaman penggunanya, termasuk para remaja. penulis mencoba menawarkan hal baru kepada pihak terkait (dalam hal ini guru mata pelajaran seni budaya) untuk merancang bersama sebuah model pembelajaran yang melibatkan smartphone. Hal ini dilakukan guna memaksimalkan penggunaan smartphone oleh peserta didik, bukan hanya dalam proses penilaian saja, melainkan dalam proses belajar mengajar di dalam kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan sampel adalah peserta didik kelas VIII-9 di SMP Negeri 9 Bandung yang berjumlah 32 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan lebih jelas tentang penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning melalui pemanfaatan video untuk gambar bentuk di Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penerapan model discovery learning melalui pemanfaatan video memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil gambar bentuk peserta didik karena peserta didik menjadi lebih aktif dan kreatif dalam kegiatan belajar dan mengajar. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusiasme peserta didik berinteraksi dalam membuat hipotesis, menganalisis, mengolah data temuannya, hingga memecahkan masalah dari hipotesis yang mereka buat sebelumnya. The tendency of smartphones can not be separated from the grip of its users, including teenagers. the author tries to offer something new to related parties (in this case the teacher of arts and culture) to design together a learning model that involves a smartphone. This is done to maximize the use of smartphones by students, not only in the assessment process, but in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The method used in this study was an experiment with a sample of class VIII-9 students at SMP Negeri 9 Bandung, amounting to 32 people. This study aims to explain more clearly about the application of discovery learning learning models through the use of videos for drawing shapes in junior high schools. The results obtained that the application of discovery learning models through the use of video has a significant effect on the results of the images of the students because students become more active and creative in teaching and learning activities. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of students interacting in making hypotheses, analyzing, processing the data of their findings, to solving problems from hypotheses they made previously.
