Umumnya mengalami keterlambatan. Sehingga menyebabkan keterlambatan pada proyek tersebut. Upaya yang dilakukan apabila proyek mengalami keterlambatan antara lain mengevaluasi proyek dengan metode Earn Value. Metode ini berguna untuk mengevaluasi kinerja proyek dari segi biaya dan waktu dengan komponen antara lain Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP), Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP) dan Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS) sehingga didapat indikator Cost Variance(CV) dan Scheduled Variance(SV) sehingga didapat indeks kinerja berupa Cost Peformance Index (CPI) dan Scheduled Peformance Index (SPI) sehingga dapat dilakukan peramalan biaya proyek yang akan datang dan kapan waktu proyek dapat terselesaikan berdasarkan analisis Earn Value. Pada proyek X telah terjadi keterlambatan mulai dari awal proyek tersebut terlaksana. Keterlambatan yang terjadi sejauh 3.32 bulan . Upaya percepatan durasi dilakukan dengan kerja lembur 3 jam sehingga proyek dapat selesai sesuai rencana. Dengan biaya Rp 202,399,495,578.48. Hasil evaluasi kinerja proyek ini ialah kontraktor mengalami keterlambatan waktu dan mengalami pembesaran biaya yang telah direncakan. Berdasarkan dari hasil perhitungan sebelumnya yaitu Estimate to Completion Date (ECD) proyek selesai pada bulan ke-27.32 melebihi kontrak rencana yang seharusnya bulan ke-24, maka biaya yang dikeluarkan selama 27.32 bulan adalah Rp. 397.032.747.800 dengan selisih dari biaya awal (RAB) Rp. 352,917,998,000 adalah Rp. 44,114,749,800.00 ditambah denda proyek yang terjadi sebesar Rp. 35,291,799,800. Maka biaya total yang harus dikeluarkan proyek adalah biaya selama 27.32 bulan + denda : Rp. 397.032.747.800 + Rp. 35,291,799,800 = Rp. 432,324,547,600.00.
