Terdapat permasalahan dalam penelitian ini seperti, sedikitnya jumlah siswa bidang keahlian DPIB, persepsi yang keliru tentang prospek lulusan SMK bidang keahlian DPIB, terjadinya penurunan jumlah SMK bidang keahlian DPIB dan input siswa SMK bidang keahlian DPIB yang kurang bagus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa dan juga untuk mengetahui faktor yang memberikan kontribusi paling besar bagi siswa dalam pemilihan SMK bidang keahlian DPIB sebagai sekolah lanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket. Sampel berjumlah 59 siswa kelas XI DPIB SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua faktor yang diungkap seperti faktor internal yang mencakup motivasi, bakat dan minat, faktor eksternal seperti faktor SMK bidang keahlian DPIB, prosfek lulusan, keluarga, teman sebaya, alumni SMP, guru dan faktor anggapan masyarakat terhadap lulusan SMK bidang keahlian DPIB memiliki pengaruh yang cukup bervariasi. faktor motivasi, bakat, minat, sekolah, prospek lulusan, keluarga, guru dan masyarakat dalam kategori cukup mempengaruhi. Sedangkan teman sebaya rendah dan alumni SMP cukup rendah. Faktor yang memberikan kontribusi paling besar bagi siswa untuk memilih SMK bidang keahlian DPIB sebagai sekolah lanjutan pilihannya adalah faktor eksternal dikategorikan tinggi.;--There are problems in this study, the students in the field of DPIB is less, false perceptions about the prospects of SMK graduates in the field of expertise DPIB, the decrease in the number of SMK in the field of expertise DPIB and student's input SMK DPIB are not good. The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of the percentage of each the factors that affect the students and to determine the factors that contribute the most for students in SMK election in the field of expertise DPIB as a inferior school. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. The sample is 59 students of class XI in DPIB SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah. The results showed that all factors were revealed such as internal factors which included motivation, talent and interests, external factors such as vocational factors in the field of DPIB, graduate factors, family, peers, junior high school graduates, teachers and public perception of graduates Vocational expertise in DPIB has quite varied influences. Interest factors motivation, talent, interests, vocational factors in the field of DPIB, graduate factors, family, teachers and public perception is quite influential, that peers are low, junior high school graduates are quite low. Factors that contribute the most to students to choose vocational schools in the field of DPIB. Building as a secondary school of choice is externally categorized as high.
