Summary

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan program bimbingan realitas untuk mengembangkan kemampuan pilihan karier peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain nonequivalent (pre-test dan post-test) control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMAK 1 BPK PENABUR Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020 sebanyak 246 peserta didik, dan sampel penelitian adalah sebanyak 58 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kemampuan pilihan karier peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil uji efektivitas, terdapat perubahan kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakukan berupa bimbingan realitas. Perubahan kemampuan tersebut ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan pada indikator: 1) pemahaman minat dan bakat diri; 2) analisis kelebihan dan kelemahan diri; 3) pengumpulan informasi tentang kelanjutan studi dan pekerjaan; 4) pengembangan diri; dan 5) perencanaan studi lanjut. Sedangkan pada indikator identifikasi tantangan dan hambatan dalam lingkungan tidak mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan. Ini berarti bimbingan realitas efektif untuk mengembangkan kemampuan pilihan karier peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas.----------This study aims to produce a reality guidance program to develop the career choice abilities of high school students. The study uses a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent (pre-test and post-test) control group design. The study population was students of class XI SMAK 1 BPK PENABUR Bandung Academic Year 2019/2020 as many as 246 students, and the study sample was 58 students. The instrument used was a student career choice ability questionnaire. Based on the results of the effectiveness test, there is a change in ability before and after the treatment is given in the form of reality guidance. The change in ability is characterized by an increase in the aspects of knowledge and the skills in the indicators: 1) understanding of self-interest and talent; 2) self-strength and weakness analysis; 3) gathering information about the continuation of study and work; 4) self-development; and 5) planning further studies. Whereas the indicators for identifying challenges and obstacles in the environment did not increase significantly. This means effective reality guidance to develop the career choice abilities of high school students.
