520 | |a Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya rata-rata nilai Penilaian Akhir Semester dan Ujian Nasional siswa SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung pada mata pelajaran ekonomi tahun ajaran 2016/2017 dan 2017/2018. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teacher support terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan pengaruh mediator student engagement pada pengaruh teacher support terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan survei eksplanatori melalui angket skala numerik. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 538 siswa SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung. Dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling, diperoleh sampel sebanyak 229 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda dengan variabel mediasi melalui SPSS 16.0 for Windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Teacher support dan student engagement berada pada kategori sedang, dan rata-rata hasil belajar cenderung berada di bawah KKM. 2) Teacher support berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar. 3) Student engagement memediasi secara parsial pengaruh teacher support terhadap hasil belajar. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Teacher support dan student engagement perlu ditingkatkan guna meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. 2) Apabila hasil belajar siswa ingin meningkat, maka hendaknya guru lebih memberikan dukungan kepada siswa, baik dalam bentuk dukungan emosi, instrumen, maupun kognisi, sehingga siswa akan lebih terlibat dalam pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa akan meningkat.----------This research was motivated by the low average national examination scores of State High School students in Bandung Regency in economic subjects in the academic year 2016/2017 and 2017/2018. This purpose of this study was to determine the effect of teacher support on student learning outcomes and the influence of student engagement mediators on the effect of teacher support on student learning outcomes. The method used in this study was the explanatory surveys through numerical scale questionnaires. The population in this study were 538 high school students in Bandung Regency. By using a random sampling technique, a sample of 229 students was obtained. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression with mediator variables through SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results of this study indicate that 1) Teacher support and student engagement were in the medium category. 2) Teacher support has a positive effect on learning outcomes. 3) Student engagement partially mediates the effect of teacher support on learning outcomes. The implications of this research were 1) Teacher support and student engagement need to be improved in order to improve student learning outcomes. 2) If student learning outcomes want to improve, then the teacher should provide more support to students, both in the form of emotional support, instruments, and cognition, so students will be more engaged in learning and student learning outcomes will increase. | ||
