Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peserta didik memiliki kompetensi karir. Kompetensi karir merupakan kemampuan peserta didik untuk membuat pilihan karir dalam kaitannya dengan pengetahuan tentang diri dan pengetahuan tentang dunia kerja, kemampuan menerapkan strategi untuk mencapai kesuksesan dan kepuasan karir masa depan, dan pengetahuan tentang faktor-faktor yang terlibat dalam pengambilan keputusan karir. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran umum kompetensi karir yang dimiliki peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Al-Inayah Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penentuan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dengan model likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) gambaran umum kompetensi karir peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Al-Inayah Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 berada pada kategori cukup kompeten, 2) Rekomendasi melakukan intervensi atau treatment dengan menggunakan berbagai teknik dalam bimbingan dan konseling untuk meningkatkan atau mengembangan kompetensi karir peserta didik. ;---This research is motivated by the importance of students having career competence. Career competence is the ability of student to make career choices in relation to self-knowledge and knowledge of the world of work, the ability to apply strategies for achieving success and future career satisfaction, and knowledge of the factors involved in career decision making. The purpose of this study is to obtain a general description of career competence of students of class VIII MTs Al-Inayah Bandung Academic Year 2017/2018. The research used quantitative approach with descriptive method. Sample determination using saturated sample technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire with Likert model. The result of the research shows: 1) the general description of career competence of students of class VIII MTs Al-Inayah Bandung Year 2017/2018 is in the category of competent enough, 2) Recommendation to intervene or treatment by using various techniques in guidance and counseling to improve or develop competence Career of students.
