Skripsi ini berjudul "DAMPAK DARWINISME SOSIAL TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN NAZISME DI JERMAN TAHUN 1921-1945". Skripsi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketertarikan penulis terhadap usaha pemusnahan bangsa rendahan terutama Yahudi serta tersemainya Perang Dunia II oleh Nazi Jerman sehingga menimbulkan pertanyaan apa yang menjadi landasan teori dan pemikiran apa yang ada di baliknya. Adapun masalah utama tersebut penulis bagi menjadi tiga pertanyaan penelitian, yaitu (1) Bagaimana Darwinisme Sosial bisa berkembang di partai Nazi Jerman; (2) Kondisi-kondisi yang mendorong Darwinisme Sosial berkembang di partai Nazi Jerman; (3) Dampak perkembangan Darwinisme Sosial terhadap Nazisme di Jerman tahun 1921-1945. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode historis dengan melakukan empat langkah penelitian yaitu heuristik, kritik, interpretasi dan historiografi. Sedangkan untuk pengumpulan data penulis melakukan teknik studi literatur yaitu mengkaji sumber-sumber yang relevan dengan kajian penulis. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan interdisipliner dengan mengambil konsep dari ilmu sosiologi, antropologi dan psikologi. Perkembangan Darwinisme Sosial di partai Nazi Jerman erat kaitannya dengan kiprah Adolf Hitler. Selain itu, kondisi-kondisi yang mendorong perkembangan Darwinisme Sosial di partai Nazi adalah iklim intelektual pada saat itu didominasi oleh ilmu biologi dan kemudian diterapkan di ranah sosial oleh Herbet Spencer, pendiri paham Darwinisme Sosial. Hitler dan ilmuan Jerman banyak yang percaya dan mengakui kebenaran ilmiahnya sehingga Darwinisme Sosial dianggap sebagai kebenaran ilmiah terbaru. Kondisi berikutnya adalah usaha pemanfaatan keadaan rakyat Jerman dan anggota partai Nazi yang letih dan pasrah total karena berbagai dampak negatif paska perang oleh Hitler untuk menyebarkan Darwinisme Sosial. Dampak negatif Darwinisme Sosial terhadap perkembangan nazisme Jerman adalah adanya paham anti-semitisme yang akut serta paham mengenai superioritas bangsa Arya. Paham ini pun direalisasikan oleh pemerintahan Nazi secara terprogram dan mengakibatkan terjadinya pembantaian ras manusia yang dianggap rendahan (terutama Yahudi) di kamp-kamp konsentrasi Jerman. Superioritas bangsa Arya yang diterapkan oleh Nazi Jerman juga telah menyemai Perang Dunia II. Dampak negatif selanjutnya adalah usaha perbaikan ras Arya serta pencegahan pencemarannya yang dilakukan oleh Nazi. Korban dari program ini adalah bangsa Jerman itu sendiri. Perkembangan nazisme sampai dengan pemusnahan manusia ini juga diwarnai oleh nekrofilia (hasrat untuk merusak yang hidup dan ketertarikan terhadap segala sesuatu yang telah mati, rusak dan murni mekanis) Hitler. This research is titled "THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL DARWINISM ON THE GROWTH OF NAZISM IN JERMAN YEAR 1921-1945". This paper is based on the writer's interest on the genocide of low societies mainly the Jaws and the start of world war II by Nazi Germans so that it causes the questions of what was the basic theory and the thought behind it. As for the main problems, the writer has formulated them into three questions of research, that is (1) How Social Darwinism developed in Nazi Germany party; (2) Supporting conditions for Social Darwinism to develop in Nazi Germany party; (3) The Impact of the development of Social Darwinism on Nazism in Germany year 1921-1945. The method the used is the historical method by conducting four research steps which are heuristic, criticism, and interpretation of historiography. While for the collection of data, The writer conducted a literature study which is studying the relevant resources which support the writer's research. The approach used is the interdisciplinary approach by taking concept of sociology, anthropology and psychology. The growth of Social Darwinism in Nazi Germany party is strongly related with the actions of Adolf Hitler. Beside that, one of the supporting conditions of the growth of Social Darwinism in Nazi party is intellectual climate which is, at that time, predominated by biological science and later is applied in social domain by Herbet Spencer, the founder of Social Darwinism. Hitler and the German scientists believed and acknowledged his scientific standing, thus, the Social Darwinism is considered to be the newest scientific truth. The next supporting condition is the effort of exploiting the situation of the German people and the worn-out Nazi party members which are in total surrenderness because of the various negative post-war impacts by Hitler to propagate Social Darwinism. The negative impact of Social Darwinism on the growth of German Nazism is the existence of acute anti-semitic-ism and the beliefs of the superiority of Aryan nation implemented. This beliefs is also realized programly by the governance of Nazi and result in the abbatoir of the human races (especially the Jews) in German concentration camps. Aryan Superiority applied by Nazi Germans have also triggered the World War II. The negative impact hereinafter is the effort to recover the Aryans and the prevention of their contamination which done by Nazi. The victims are the German itself. The growth of Nazism up to the destruction of human beings also gave rise to necrophilia.
