Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis manajemen sekolah berbasis teknologi informasi untuk meningkatkan mutu layanan akademik yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian, kebijakan teknis, proses dan knowledge sharing dalam implementasi Manajemen Sekolah berbasis teknologi informasi yang terjadi dalam kegiatan akademik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini terdeskripsinya: dukungan kebijakan teknis dan implementasi manajemen sekolah berbasis teknologi informasi dalam meningkatkan mutu layanan akademik serta model hipotetik manajemen sekolah berbasis teknologi informasi untuk layanan akademik sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitik melalui studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dan informasi dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: dukungan teknis sistem informasi manajemen dirumuskan dalam visi, misi, dan tujuan sekolah masih bersifat implisit; Implementasi sistem informasi manajemen berbasis sekolah dilakukan melalui pengembangan kompetensi sumber daya manusia; proses manajemen sekolah yang mengikuti tujuan pendidikan nasional dalam hal pemanfaatan teknologi informasi untuk mendukung manajemen berbasis sekolah belum tersedia secara merata; Proses manajemen berbasis sekolah di SMPN 6 dan SMP Darul Hikam sebagian besar masih dilakukan secara offline. Penciptaan sistem pengintegrasian TIK mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi dan tindak lanjut serta pengelolaan informasi dan kebijakan sekolah membantu layanan akademik berjalan dengan baik. ;---Studies on school - based management of information technology is very important, as the demand of globalization in education, rapid technological development, and society's need to improve the quality of education. This study focused on analizing the implementation of school - based management of information technology to improve academic's service, which involves some technical policies, and the process of school-based management of information technology itself. The aim of this study is to describe the support of technical policy of school management and the implementation of school-based management information system. The design of this study is case study with descriptive method; and it employs qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are interview, observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the support of technical policy of Management information system is formulated implicitely in the vision, mission, and goals of the schools; the implementation of school-based management of information system is conducted through the development of human resources' competencies; the process of knowledge management which follows the goals of the national education in terms of the utilization of information technology to support school based management is still not available yet; the school based management process in both schools are mostly still conducted offline. Meanwhile, ICT integration systems, information and policy management helps academic services work well. |
