Summary: | The aims of this study are to investigate the students' critical thinking based on logical thinking, learning style, and gender measured by using Science Virtual Test in two Junior High School in Tasikmalaya city and to investigate the correlation difference between students' critical thinking with students' logical thinking, students' learning style, and gender. The subject theme of this research is a digestive system in eight grades. The method that used in this study was descriptive research method with purposive sampling. The participants were 86 students from eighth grade at two different private schools in Tasikmalaya city to get critical thinking level, students' logical thinking, students' learning style and gender by using Science Virtual Test for critical thinking skill, Test of Logical Thinking (TOLT) for measuring students' logical thinking and Visual, Aural, Reading and Kinesthetic (VARK) questionnaire for grouping a learning style. Generally, the mean of student critical thinking level in Tasikmalaya reached 47.55, with range 34.10 ≤ score < 55.81. The student also achieves a moderate level of overall critical thinking skill on digestive system topic. The correlation between students' critical thinking and students' logical thinking in this research is 0.77, it means that there is no correlation between students' critical thinking and students' logical thinking. Learning style has a negative correlation with critical thinking of student because the significant difference is 0.352. For male and female students' critical thinking skill has no significant difference is found.;---Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang berdasarkan pemikiran logis, gaya belajar dan jenis kelamin diukur dengan menggunakan Science Virtual Test di dua Sekolah Menengah Pertama kota Tasikmalaya dan untuk menyelidiki korelasi antara berpikir kritis siswa dengan siswa, pemikiran logis, gaya belajar siswa dan jenis kelamin. Tema subjek penelitian ini adalah sistem pencernaan di delapan kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan purposive sampling. Peserta dalampenelitian ini adalah 86 siswa dari kelas delapan di dua sekolah swasta yang berbeda di kota Tasikmalaya. Guna mendapatkan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, kemampuan berpikir logis siswa, gaya belajar, dan jenis kelamin siswa dengan menggunakan Science Virtual Test untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis, Tes Logical Thinking (TOLT) untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir logis siswa dan Visual, Aural, Reading dan Kinesthetics (VARK) kuesioner untuk mengelompokkan gaya belajar. Secara umum, rata-rata tingkat berpikir kritis siswa di Tasikmalaya mencapai 47.55, dengan rentang 34.10 ≤ skor <55.81. Siswa juga dapat digolongkan dalam tingkat moderat dari keseluruhan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada topik sistem pencernaan. hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan kemampuan berpikir logis siswa dalam penelitian ini adalah 0.77, itu berarti bahwa tidak ada korelasi antara kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan berpikir logis siswa. Gaya belajar memiliki hubungan negatif dengan berpikir kritis siswa, karena nilai p value adalah 0,352. Untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan yang ditemukan. |
