Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Mengetahui profil kesalahan konsep siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pada topik identitas trigonometri; dan 2) Mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya profil kesalahan konsep siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pada topik identitas trigonometri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes dan instrumen nontes (berupa wawancara dan analisis dokumen-dokumen terkait). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil kesalahan konsep siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pada topik identitas trigonometri adalah: 1) Kesalahan konsep dalam menggunakan nilai persamaan identitas trigonometri dan mengintegrasikan dalam pecahan aljabar; 2) Siswa tidak mengaplikasikan konsep identitas trigonometri Pythagoras dalam proses penyederhanaan dan pembuktian; 3) Siswa tidak paham dengan konsep pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar yang diaplikasikan dalam identitas trigonometri; 4) Siswa tidak paham dengan konsep distributif dalam bentuk aljabar yang diaplikasikan dalam identitas trigonometri; 5) Siswa tidak paham dengan penggabungan konsep identitas trigonometri dan konsep pecahan aljabar beruntut; dan 6) Siswa tidak menggunakan konsep operasi aljabar dengan benar dalam penyelesaian soal pembuktian identitas trigonometri. Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kesalahan konsep dalam menyelesaikan soal pada topik identitas trigonometri adalah: 1) Materi prasyarat yang belum dipahami oleh siswa secara menyeluruh; 2) Urutan materi pembelajaran identitas trigonometri pada buku paket yang tidak sesuai; 3) Tingkat kepekaan siswa terhadap struktural aljabar yang rendah; dan 4) RPP yang dibuat dalam awal tahun ajaran baru tidak sesuai dengan proses KBM di kelas. ;---The goal in this study was 1) know the profile errors of students in completing the concept of reserved on the topic of trigonometric identities; and 2) know the causative factors of the profile errors of students in completing the concept of reserved on the topic of trigonometric identities. The theory is the theory of Piaget's Theory and information processing. Research methods used are qualitative research methods to the design of research case studies. The instruments used are the test instrument and instrument non test (in the form of interviews and analysis of related documents). The results showed that the concept of fault profile students in resolving the problem of trigonometric identity topic is: 1) error in using the concept of the value equation of trigonometric identities and integrate in algebraic fractions; 2) students are not applying the Pythagorean trigonometric identity concepts in the process of simplification and of proof; 3) students are not familiar with the concept of algebraic forms of factored applied in the trigonometric identity; 4) students are not familiar with the concept of distributive in the form of algebraic trigonometric identity applies; 5) students are not familiar with the incorporation of the concept of identity and the concept of fractional algebraic trigonometric streak; and 6) students do not use the concept of algebraic operations correctly in the settlement of the question of proof of trigonometric identities. The factors that led to errors in completing the concept of reserved on the topic of trigonometric identities are: 1) The material prerequisites are not yet fully understood by students as a whole; 2) Sequence of trigonometric identity on learning material books packages are not appropriate; 3) The student's sensitivity level against the structural of algebra are low; and 4) Lesson plan made in the beginning of the new school year does not comply with the process of learning and teaching activities in class.
