Praktikum alat sederhana merupakan metode pembelajaran yang dianggap efektif untuk menciptakan interaksi edukatif antara guru dengan murid. Adanya interaksi edukatif yang menyenangkan akan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Meningkatnya motivasi siswa ini akan berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa. Kapasitas volume udara pernapasan merupakan bagian materi pelajaran tentang sistem pernapasan manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan bahan ajar berbasis praktikum alat sederhana untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman konsep dan kreativitas siswa sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental designs. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA kelas XI di SMA X. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pemahaman konsep dan kreativitas siswa kelas XI dan sampel yang diambil 1 kelas saja. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman konsep dan kreativitas siswa adalah tes. Instrumen tes berbentuk soal PG dengan 15 butir soal dan soal uraian 5 soal yang telah dijudgement dan divalidasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa praktikum alat sederhana efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan kreativitas siswa. Keefektifan ini berdasarkan peningkatan hasil posttest pemahaman konsep yang cukup signifikan atau termasuk kategori sedang sebesar 0,564 dibandingkan dengan hasil pretest. Selain efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, praktikum alat sederhana ini juga efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas siswa. Terdapat peningkatan kreativitas siswa sesudah pembelajaran yang cukup signifikan atau termasuk kategori sedang sebesar 0,42 dibandingkan dengan hasil pretest. Sebelum pembelajaran kreativitas siswa pada kategori sedang, namun setelah pembelajaran kreativitas siswa meningkat menjadi sangat tinggi. Namun perlunya melakukan pengembangan lanjutan agar dapat memperoleh produk bahan ajar berbasis praktikum alat sederhana yang memiliki efektifitas yang lebih tinggi, sehingga dapat disebarkan secara luas;---As the one of the science branch, biology is the knowledge that has very complexity, so it is needed the summary of material to be easy for the student to understand the important concepts of the material itself. Besides the material, the practicum activity is the important component for science learning because that has the role to develop .the students scientific knowledge and to improve the student skills too. Capacity of lung is one of respiratory system topic. The methodology that used in this research is pre-experimental designs. The purpose of this research to know how far the effectiveness of student material based on the simple tools of practicum to identify the students concept understanding and creativity such as the demands of curriculum in based competence for senior high school on material respiratory system. To test the effectiveness of student material based on the simple tools of practicum to identify the student concept understaning and creativity used a class experiment in class X in a high school by using pretest and posttest. The test instrument is a matter of multiple choice with 15 items and essay with 5 items that have been judged and validated by the expert. . The results of the analysis show that student material based on the simple tools of practicum is effective to identify the student concept understanding and creativity. Effective based on pretest and posttest score increasing and creativity of student in experiment class is high. The need for continuous development in student material based on the simple tools of practicum in order to obtain products of practicum activities that have a higher effectiveness, so that it can be widely disseminated.
