PENGEMBANGAN TES DIAGNOSTIK FOUR-TIER UNTUK MENGIDENTIFIKASI MISKONSPESI PADA MATERI ATOM MOLEKUL DAN ION

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes diagnostik four-tier untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada konsep atom, molekul, dan ion. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu 1) kajian literatur mengenai miskonsepsi pada materi atom molekul dan ion; (2) pengumpulan informasi mengenai konsep alternatif siswa; dan (3) mengembangkan instrumen diagnostik 4-tier. Tes diagnostik four-tier merupakan penyempurnaan dari tes dua tingkat yang hanya terdiri dari jawaban dan alasan. Tambahan dua tingkat pada tes diagnostik four-tier meliputi tingkat keyakinan yang menunjukkan akurasi pada pilihan jawaban dan alasan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMP kelas IX yang telah mempelajari materi atom molekul dan ion. Perangkat tes yang dihasilkan terdiri dari kisi-kisi, petunjuk pengerjaan, soal tes, kunci jawaban, pedoman penskoran, dan pedoman interpretasi hasil. Pengujian validitas oleh validator ahli menunjukkan instrumen yang dikembangkan valid. Reliabilitas tes yang dikembangkan sebesar 0,6. Analisis hasil penggunaan tes juga memberikan informasi mengenai lima level konsepsi siswa yaitu misconceptions, lack of knowledge, scientific conception, false positive, dan false negative dari materi yang diujikan. Hasil penerapan tes instrumen tes diagnostik four-tier diperoleh sebanyak 36,9% mengalami miskonsepsi pada konsep atom, 39.4% pada molekul, dan 30% pada konsep ion. Berdasarkan temuan itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa tes diagnostik four-tier yang dikembangkan mampu mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi pada konsep atom molekul dan ion.;---This study aims to develop four-tier diagnostic test instruments to diagnosing misconceptions that occur in the concept of atom, molecule, and ion. This research is a developmental research design consisting of 3 stages that is 1) studying literature about misconception on atom, molecule and ion concepts; (2) collecting information on alternative concepts of students; and (3) developing a 4-tier diagnostic instrument. The four-tier diagnostic test is a refinement of a two-tiered test consisting only of answers and reasons. Two-tier additions to the four-tier diagnostic tests include a levels of confidences that indicate accuracy in answer choices and reasons. The subjects of the study were students of SMP class IX who had studied atom molecule and ion concepts. The resulting test devices include grilles, workmanship, test questions, answer keys, scoring guidelines, and results interpretation guidelines. Validity testing by expert shows the developed instrument is valid. Reliability test developed by 0.6. The test results analysis also provides information on the five levels of student conception that are misconceptions, lack of knowledge, scientific conception, false positive, and false negatives of the material being tested. The results of the application of the four-tier diagnostic test instrument test obtained as much as 36.9% is misconceptions on the concept of atom, 39.4% on molecule, and 30% on the concept of ion. Based on these findings it can be concluded that the developed four-tier diagnostic test is able to identify misconceptions on the concept of atom, molecule, and ion.
