Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor minat yang memengaruhi peserta didik dalam memilih program keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan di SMKN 1 Katapang Kabupaten Bandung. Terdapat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan minat diantaranya faktor internal meliputi kemauan, perasaan senang dan motivasi, sedangkan faktor eksternal meliputi lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan sekolah dan lingkungan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Peneltian ini dilakukan terhadap 34 responden pada siswa kelas X Program Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan di SMKN 1 Katapang Kabupaten Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuisioner angket tertutup dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu sebesar 72,3% (lebih dari setengahnya) peserta didik di pengaruhi oleh faktor kemauan, 73,2% (lebih dari setengahnya) peserta didik di pengaruhi oleh faktor perasaan senang, 83,6% (sebagian besar) peserta didik di pengaruhi oleh faktor motivasi, 62,0% (Setengahnya) peserta didik di pengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan keluarga, 43,6% (Kurang dari setengahnya) peserta didik di pengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan sekolah, 42,8% (Kurang dari setenganya) peserta didik di pengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan masyarakat. Faktor yang paling dominan minat peserta didik dalam memilih Program Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan di SMKN 1 Katapang Kabupaten Bandung adalah faktor internal yaitu motivasi. The results of the study were 72.3% (more than half) of students influenced by the willing factor, 73.2% (more than half) of students were influenced by the feeling of pleasure, 83.6% (most of the students) students influenced by motivational factor, 62.0% (half) of students influenced by family environmental factors, 43.6% (less than half) of students influenced by school environmental factor, 42.8% (Less than half of them) students influenced by community environmental factor. The most dominant factor of students interest in choosing the Light Vehicle Engineering Expertise Program at SMK 1 Katapang, Bandung Regency is an internal factor, namely motivation.
