Summary:Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya perubahan tingkah laku, cara pandang dan minat generasi muda di era globalisasi, salah satunya dengan meningkatnya tindak kriminalitas dikalangan pelajar di Kota Bandung seperti tawuran. Upaya yang dilakukan yaitu melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler polisi taruna agar peserta didik mampu memahami secara konsep dan praktik pentingnya menjaga ketertiban bersama dilingkungan masyarakat. Pada praktiknya ekstrakurikuler polisi siswa berperan sebagai fasilitator peserta didik untuk mengaktualisasikan diri sesuai minat dan bakat sehingga terbentuk karakter disiplin. Jenispenelitianiniyaitupenelitiankualitatifdeskriptif analitisdenganteknikpengumpulan data melaluiobservasi, wawancara, danstudidokumentasi.Hasilpenelitianinimenunjukkanbahwa, (a) peran penting ekstrakurikuler polisi taruna dalam pembentukankarakterdisiplinyaitudengancarakesadarandirisendiri, selaluberusahatepatwaktu,melaluipendekatan spiritual, psikologi, pendekatanhukum dan sanksi. (b) bentukkegiatanekstrakurikulerpolisitarunaterdiriataspemberianmateridanlatihanlapangan. (c) pelaksanaankegiatanekstrakurikulerpolisitarunayaituberupalatihanrutin, latihangabungan, keterlibatandalamkegiatandisekolahmaupundiluarsekolah seperti perlombaan. (c) Hambatan yang dihadapi ekstrakurikuler polisi taruna adalah kurang optimalnya sarana dan prasarana, pendanaan, serta faktor biologis dari setiap anggota serta adanya kecemburuan sosial diantara peserta didik lainnya. (d) Upaya yang dilakukan dalam mengatasi hambatan yaitu mengoptimalisaikan segala sarana prasarana dan dana yang ada, memberi motivasi serta merangkul semua peserta didik di SMKN 12 Bandung;---This research is motivated by changes in behavior and perspective of young people in the era of globalization. One of them is the increasing criminal acts among students in Bandung such as brawls. The effort conducted through extracurricular activities by cadets is aimed to support students in understanding the concept and practice of the importance of maintaining order together with the community. In the practice of police extracurricular for students it acts as a facilitator for students to actualize themselves according to their interests and talents so that a disciplined characters will be formed. This research uses qualitative analytical descriptive method, and the data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that, (a) the police extracurricular has an important role in the formation of a disciplined character that is, through the development od self-awareness, the necessity to be always on time, and through spiritual approach and sanctions as well. (b) The activities of extracurricular cadets consists of theoretical learning and field training. (c) The implementation of police extracurricular activities for cadets is in the form of routine training, combined training, involvement in school, and outside school activities such as race. (c) Barriers faced by police extracurricular cadets includes the lacking optimal facilities and infrastructure, funding, and biological factors of each member and social jealousy among other students. (d) Efforts carried out in overcoming obstacles namely optimizing all means of existing infrastructure and funds, motivating and embracing all students in 12 Vocational School Bandung.
