Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh jumlah peralatan yang banyak, tetapi terlihat cara penyimpanannya tidak teratur dan tidak rapi, sehubungan dengan itu fungsi dan kualitas peralatan tersebut perlu dilakukan penelitian apakah peralatan tersebut berfungsi normal dan layak digunakan atau tidak untuk memenuhi kebutuhan praktikum peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persentase kondisi dan kelayakan hand tools, special service tools, dan equipment tools pada Kompetensi Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri Kota Sukabumi dengan dengan menggunakan metode observasi langsung. Sampel yang diambil Peralatan Praktikum pada Kompetensi Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif di SMKN Kota Sukabumi. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan persentase kondisi dan kelayakan peralatan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri Kota Sukabumi yakni untuk hand tools 16,94% dimana persentase tersebut termasuk kedalam kategori sangat tidak layak, special service tools 6,94% dimana persentase tersebut masuk dalam kategori sangat tidak layak, dan equipment tools 9% dimana persentase tersebut masuk dalam kategori sangat tidak layak. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa persentase ketersediaan Peralatan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri Kota Sukabumi masih termasuk kedalam kategori sangat tidak layak atau kurang tersedianya peralatan di sekolah tersebut.;---This research in the drive by the amount of equipment that is a lot , but saw its final resting way is irregular and is not neat , with respect with it functions and qualities of the equipment research needs to be done is of the equipment can function normally and feasible to be or not to meet the needs of lab work school tuition. The purpose of this research is to find the percentage of conditions and feasibility hand tools, special service tools, dan equipment tools On a light vehicle technique competence automotive .The research was conducted in vocational high school land the city sukabumi with by using the method the direct observation of .Samples to be taken equipment lab work on technique competence automotive light vehicle in Vocational high School Sukabumi City Land. Data collection technique by using research instruments. The results of the study showed the percentage of the condition and the worthiness of the equipment in vocational high school land the city sukabumi namely for hand tools 16,94% Where this percentage are part category it was very improper, special service tools 6,94% Where this percentage are part category it was very improper, and equipment tools 9% Where this percentage are part category it was very improper. This study it can be concluded that the the equipment in vocational high school sukabumi city land still included in category it was very improper or insufficient supplies of equipment in the school.
