Dunia kerja akan makin membutuhkan dunia pendidikan, utamanya dalam proses pembentukan kualitas sumber daya manusia, sedangkan di satu sisi dunia pendidikan akan semakin membutuhkan dunia kerja sebagai penyerap sumber daya terdidik yang telah mereka hasilkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui relevansi kompetensi lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dengan Kebutuhan DUDI. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif eksploratif (penjajagan) non hipotesis (tanpa hipotesis) dengan pendekatan survei. Penelitian ini menyajikan data secara sistematis, faktual, dan akurat mengenai fakta-fakta tentang kesesuaian mata pelajaran gambar bangunan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja di Bandung yang akan dideskripsikan dengan cara wawancara kepada pihak perusahaan konsultan konstruksi bangunan yang berada di wilayah Kota Bandung. Objek penelitian ini adalah SMK Negeri di kota Bandung dan Perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang jasa konstruksi di kota Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan beberapa hal berikut : Terdapat 143 kompetensi yang sesuai dan 7 kompetensi yang tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan DUDI dari 150 kompetensi mata pelajaran gambar bangunan yang diajarkan di SMKN Bandung 2) Terdapat 74 Kompetensi yang dibutuhkan oleh DUDI tetapi tidak diajarkan di SMK, dan 3) Tingkat kesesuaian kompetensi mata pelajaran gambar bangunan yang diajarkan SMK Negeri Bandung dengan yang dibutuhkan DUDI adalah sebesar 65,90%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti mengajukan saran untuk memenuhi kebutuhan industri jasa konstruksi terhadap lulusan, maka bagi pihak sekolah perlu adanya pengembangan dan perluasan materi pembelajaran terkait kompetensi yang dominan, bagi industri jasa konstruksi agar dapat membina kerjasama dengan mengadakan pelatihan bagi para siswa terkait bidang pekerjaan untuk memudahkan pengambilan tenaga kerja yang profesional sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri. Design research used is research descriptive explorative non hypothesis with the approach survey.This study provides the data systematically, factual, and accurate about the facts about conformity subjects picture building with needs the workplace in bandung which will described by means of interview to the a consulting firm the construction of buildings in the urban area bandung.Object this research are state vocational high schools in the greater bandung company that moves in the services sector construction in bandung city. Based on the research done found the following factors: there are 143 competence that suits his 7 competence which is not in accordance with the needs of dudi from 150 competence subjects are taught in image building smkn bandung 2 ) there are 74 competence required by dudi but not taught in vocational high schools , and 3 a level of conformity competence subjects pictures building taught state vocational schools bandung with that which is required dudi 65,90 % non-competitive purchase will be .Based on the research done , researchers make suggestions to meet needs of the industry construction services against graduates , for the school there should have been the development and expansion of the dominant competence learning related material , for industries construction services in order to build cooperation with holding training for the students related to the field of employment to ease labor of the receipt of the professional in accordance with needs of the industry .
