Summary:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil miskonsepsi siswa SMA kelas XI pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan tes diagnostik pilihan ganda tiga tingkat pada materi kesetimbangan kimia hasil pengembangan Widasmara (2018), terdiri dari 14 butir soal dengan nilai validitas 1 serta nilai reliabilitas 0,759. Instrumen diaplikasikan pada siswa dengan pembagian siswa kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah berdasarkan nilai rata-rata tiga nilai ulangan materi kimia sebelumnya. Teridentifikasi miskonsepsi pada 13 konsep kesetimbangan kimia dengan miskonsepsi terbesar pada konsep pengaruh penambahan katalis dengan persentase 52,38%. Terdapat perbedaan miskonsepsi siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia di kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Perbedaan miskonsepsi siswa antara kategori tinggi dan sedang sangat berbeda (25,71%), antara kategori tinggi dan rendah sangat berbeda (34,29% dan 31,43%), sedangkan antara kategori sedang dan rendah berbeda (20%). The aim of this research is to determine profile of the 11th grade senior high school students' misconceptions on chemical equilibrium. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The instrument that used in this research is three-tier multiple choice diagnostic test on chemical equilibrium as a result of the development that has been done by Widasmara (2018), which consists 14 questions with value of validity is 1 and the value of reliability is 0,759. The instrument applied to students in high, middle and low category students based on past three subject of chemistry test scores. 13 concepts of chemical equilibrium had been identified as misconceptions with most common misconception among students is the concept of the effect of adding a catalyst with the percentage is 52,38%. There are students' misconception differences between high, middle and low category students. The students' misconception differences between high and middle category students is very different (25,71%), between high and low category students is very different (34,29% and 31,42%), meanwhile between middle and low category students is different (20%).
