Summary:Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk memperoleh prototype buku teks pelajaran kimia pada materi pergeseran kesetimbangan yang memenuhi kriteria kelayakan isi, penyajian materi, bahasan, dan kegrafikan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah design research yang dikembangkan oleh Plomp, terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu, preliminary research, development or prototyping phase, dan assessment phase. Pada tahap Preliminary research dilakukan analisis Kompetensi Dasar (KD) pada kurikulum 2013, perumusan indikator dan konsep pada materi pergeseran kesetimbangan, analisis level representasi kimia materi pergeseran kesetimbangan pada 5 textbook kimia, serta analisis penggunaan level representasi, kesesuaian konsep dengan KD, dan ketepatan konsep pada tiga buku kimia SMA yang paling sering digunakan. Pada tahap Development or prototyping phase dilakukan perumusan level representasi, pembuatan outline, penyusunan prototype buku teks serta validasi kelayakan buku teks yang dilakukan oleh 8 validator. Pada tahap terakhir, Assessment phase, dilakukan uji keterbacaan. Hasil penilaian ahli menunjukkan bahwa prototype buku teks pelajaran yang dikembangkan sebagian besar telah memenuhi kriteria dengan beberapa saran perbaikan. Hasil uji keterbacaan dari Grafik Fry menunjukkan bahwa buku teks pelajaran yang dikembangkan berada pada tingkat 10. sehingga memenuhi kriteria sasaran pembaca termasuk kelas XI. Hasil uji rumpang menunjukkan bahwa prototype buku teks pelajaran memiliki tingkat keterbacaan tinggi. The aim of this research was to develop a prototype of chemistry textbook learning on the subject of equilibrium shift that fulfills criteria of content, presentation of material, language, and graphics. The research design used was a research design that developed by Plomp, limited in three stages, preliminary research, development or prototyping phase, and assessment phase. At the Preliminary research stage basic competency analysis was carried out on 2013 curriculum , formulation of indicators and concept on equilibrium shift material, analysis the level of chemical representation of equilibrium shift material in 5 chemistry textbook, and analysis of the use of representation levels,conformity of concept with basic competency, and accuracy of concept in the three most commonly used high school chemistry books. At the stage of Development or prototyping phase the formulation of the level of representation is carried out, alongside making outlines, compiling a textbook prototype and validating the feasibility of a textbook conducted by 8 validators. At the last stage, the Assessment phase, the readability test was conducted. The results of expert assessment indicate that the prototype textbooks developed were mostly fulfilled the criteria with some suggestions for improvement. The result of readability test from Fry Graph showed that the developed textbook is at the level 10 wich fulfilled the target for grade IX,X,XI readers. The result of cloze test showed that the textbook prototype learning textbook had hight readability level
