Pengembangan awal program perkuliahan praktikum ini didasarkan pada penelitian pendahuluan yang dilakukan di salah satu universitas swasta di kota Bandung dan Sukabumi. Sejumlah mahasiswa pendidikan biologi (n=51) dilibatkan pada penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan melalui beberapa instrumen berupa: tes inquiry skills, lembar observasi inquiry skills, tes pengetahuan mahasiswa, lembar observasi scientific report, lembar observasi scientific papers dan tes logical thinking (TOLT) serta angket tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap Program Praktikum Anatomi Tumbuhan. Perkuliahan praktikum anatomi tumbuhan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan diantaranya: penyiapan keterampilan dasar praktikum anatomi tumbuhan melalui strategi discovery learning, pembiasaan melalui interactive demonstration dan praktikum berbasis inkuiri yang meliputi: Confirmatory inquiry, Structured inquiry, Guided inquiry 1, Guided inquiry 2 dan Open Inquiry. Pengembangan strategi perkuliahan pada program praktikum ini dilakukan melalui uji coba keterlaksanaan program dan keberfungsian program. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program Praktikum Anatomi Tumbuhan berbasis Inkuiri dapat mengembangkan inquiry skills mahasiswa, pengetahuan mahasiswa dan meningkatkan logical thinking mahasiswa. Analisis hubungan antar komponen (inquiry skills, pengetahuan mahasiswa dan logical thinking), menunjukkan hubungan korelasi positif yang signifikan. The Research and Development method was carried out to develop inquiry-based plant anatomy practical work program that can develop students' inquiry skills, knowledge, and improving logical thinking. The initial development of the practical work program was based on preliminary research conducted at one of the private universities in Bandung and Sukabumi. A number of biology education students (n = 51) were included in this study. Data were collected through several instruments including: inquiry skills test, inquiry skills observation sheet, students' knowledge test, scientific report observation sheets, scientific papers observation sheets, test of logical thinking (TOLT), and questionnaires. The lecture on plant anatomy practical work is carried out through several stages including: preparation of basic skills in plant anatomy practical work through discovery learning, habituation through demonstration inquiry and the inquiry-based practical work program itself which includes: Confirmatory inquiry, Structured inquiry, Guided inquiry 1, Guided inquiry 2 and Open Inquiry. The development of the practical work program strategy was carried out through a trial of program implementation and program functioning. Data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that inquiry-based plant anatomy practical work programs could develop students' inquiry skills, students' knowledge, and improve students' logical thinking. Analysis of relationships between components (students' inquiry skills, knowledge, and logical thinking), shows a significant positive correlation. | ||
