Dilihat dari data keterserapan lulusan SMK N 12 Bandung, bahwa lulusan yang bekerja sesuai bidang keahlian (relevan) lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan yang bekerja tidak sesuai bidang keahlian (tidak relevan). Beberapa penyebab utama permasalahan tersebut yaitu ketersediaan lapangan kerja yang terbatas serta siswa tidak lolos seleksi kerja. Penyebab siswa tidak lolos seleksi kerja salah satunya yaitu kesiapan kerja siswa yang kurang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor dominan yang memengaruhi kesiapan kerja siswa kelas XII SMK N 12 Bandung tahun pelajaran 2018/2019, sehingga diharapkan pihak-pihak terkait dapat lebih memerhatikan fator-faktor tersebut. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu analisis faktor. Analisis faktor adalah sebuah teknik yang digunakan untuk mencari faktor-faktor yang mampu menjelaskan hubungan atau korelasi antara berbagai variabel independen yang diobservasi. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 120 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, faktor yang paling dominan memengaruhi kesiapan kerja siswa kelas XII SMK N 12 Bandung tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 yaitu faktor 1 yang terbentuk dari variabel pengetahuan, keterampilan, minat, kurikulum, materi pembelajaran, rekan sebaya, dan bimbingan vokasional. Implikasinya, maka variabel-variabel tersebut perlu mendapatkan perhatian yang lebih dari pihak-pihak terkait seperti sekolah, keluarga, maupun diri siswa sendiri guna mencapai kesiapan kerja siswa yang baik. Sehingga siswa akan lebih mampu untuk berkompetisi di dunia industri.; Viewed from absorption data, graduates of SMK N 12 Bandung, that graduates who work in the relevant field of expertise (relevant) are less than those who work not in accordance with the field of expertise (irrelevant). Some of the main causes of these problems are the limited availability of jobs and students not qualifying for employment. The cause of the students did not pass the work selection, one of them was poor work readiness of students. The purpose of this study is to find out the dominant factors that influence the work readiness of class XII students of SMK N 12 Bandung in the academic year 2018/2019, so that the relevant parties are expected to pay more attention to these factors. The research method uses descriptive methods with quantitative approaches. Data analysis used in the research is factor analysis. Factor analysis is a technique used to look for factors that can explain the relationship or correlation between the various independent variables observed. The sample in the study amounted to 120 students. Data collection is done by questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, the most dominant factor influences the work readiness of class XII students of SMK N 12 Bandung in the 2018/2019 academic year, which is factor 1 is formed from variables of knowledge, skills, interests, curriculum, learning material, peers, and vocational guidance.
