Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesenjangan yang terjadi antara lulusan SMK dengan kebutuhan tenaga kerja cukup tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh minat kerja terhadap kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja, mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan akademis terhadap kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja, mengetahui pengaruh minat kerja dan kemampuan akademis secara bersama-sama terhadap kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja siswa kelas XI TKK SMK Negeri 6 Bandung tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jumlah populasi sejumlah 121 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket dan metode dokumentasi nilai raport dengan teknik analisis statistik desktiptif, korelasi Product Moment, korelasi ganda dan pengujian hipotesis dengan analisis regresi sederhana dan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Minat kerja siswa kelas XI TKK SMK Negeri 6 Bandung tahun ajaran 2017/2018 tergolong tinggi dan terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara minat kerja terhadap kesiapan untuk memasuki dunia kerja sebesar 40,59%. Kemampuan akademis siswa kelas XI TKK SMK Negeri 6 Bandung tahun ajaran 2017/2018 tergolong sedang dan terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara minat kerja terhadap kesiapan untuk memasuki dunia kerja sebesar 55,47%. Kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja siswa kelas XI TKK SMK Negeri 6 Bandung tahun ajaran 2017/2018 tergolong sedang dan terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara minat kerja dan kemampuan akademis secara bersama-sama terhadap kesiapan untuk memasuki dunia kerja kelas XI TKK SMK Negeri 6 Bandung tahun ajaran 2017/2018 sebesar 63,62%. Sedangkan 36,38% merupakan faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini; This study is based on the gap among vocational school graduates in case of high labor requirements. The purpose of this study are to determine the effect of work interest on the readiness for entering the workforce, to determine the effect of academic ability on the readiness for entering the workforce, and to determine the effect of both work interest and academic ability to the readiness for entering the workforce of Eleventh (11th) Grade TKK students in SMK Negeri 6 Bandung 2017/2018 academic year. This study is a quantitative study with a population of 121 students. Data collection was done by questionnaire method and documentation method of report cards with descriptive statistical analysis techniques, Product Moment correlation, multiple correlation and hypothesis testing with simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the work interest of Eleventh grade of TKK students in 2017/2018 academic year is classified as high and the work interest gives positive and significant effect towards the readiness for entering the workforce by 40.59%. Academic ability of Eleventh grade of TKK students in SMK Negeri 6 Bandung 2017/2018 academic year is classified as medium and work interest gives positive and significant effect towards the readiness for entering the workforce by 55.47%. Readiness level for entering the workforce of Eleventh grade of TKK students in SMK Negeri 6 Bandung 2017/2018 academic year is classified as moderate and the work interest and academic ability both give positive and significant effect of work towards the readiness for entering workforce class of Eleventh grade of TKK students in SMK Negeri 6 Bandung 2017/2018 academic year such as 63,62%. While the remaining 36,38% is another factor that influences the readiness to enter the workforce which is not examined in this study.
