520 |a The purpose of this scientific paper is to reveal how gender and power relations are often ignored in the realm of early childhood education. Through the Post-structuralism perspective researchers reveal how gender inequality is perpetuated in PAUD through relations of power, knowledge, and discourse. This research uses ethnographic focus research methods. The location of this study was in one of the kindergartens in the city of Bandung, with the number of participants as many as 86 children. Boys numbered 40 children and girls numbered 46 children, and 8 teachers. This research uses grounded theory that produces 189 codes which then focus on coding into 164 codes. The results of the study show that gender inequality occurs due to teacher and child trust in gender norms through heteronormative discourse. Where children and teachers alike become controls and oversee the construction of traditional gender that is constantly perpetuated. The findings also reveal that children are active agents, who not only accept traditional gender constructions but also can oppose traditional gender in their social environment. These children who oppose traditional gender have the potential to be excluded because they are not in accordance with gender norms in heteronormative discourse.; Tujuan penulisan karya ilmiah ini adalah untuk mengungkap bagaimana relasi gender dan kuasa yang seringkali diabaikan di ranah pendidikan anak usia dini. Melalui perspectif Post- structukralisme peneliti mengungkapkan bagaimana ketidaksetaraan gender dilanggengkan di PAUD melalui hubungan kekuasaan, pengetahuan, dan diskursus. Penelititian ini menggunakan metode penelitian fokus ethnografi. Lokasi penelitian ini di salah satu TK di Kota Bandung, dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 86 Anak. Anak laki-laki berjumlah 40 anak dan anak perempuan berjumlah 46 Anak, dan 8 orang guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan grounded theory yang mengahasilkan 189 kode yang kemudian dilakukan fokus koding menjadi 164 Kode. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ketidaksetaraan gender terjadi karena kepercayaan guru dan anak terhadap norma gender melalui diskursus heteronormatif. Dimana anak dan guru sama sama menjadi kontrol dan mengawasi konstruksi gender tradisional yang terus-menerus dilanggengkan. Temuan juga mengungkapkan bahwa anak merupakan agen aktif, yang tidak hanya menerima konstruksi gender tradisional namun juga dapat menentang gender tradisional di lingkungan sosialnya. Anak- anak yang menentang gender tradisional inilah yang berpotensi dikecualikan karena tidak sesuai norma gender dalam diskursus heteronormatif.
