ANALISIS KONSISTENSI KONSEPSI SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL ANALYSIS BERDASARKAN PENGALAMAN BELAJAR FISIKA PADA MATERI GELOMBANG

Summary

Berbagai penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa siswa memiliki pemahaman awal yang seringkali berbeda dengan konsep yang benar, sehingga muncul miskonsepsi dalam proses pembangunan konsep. Berbagai instrumen telah dikembangkan untuk mendeteksi keberadaan miskonsepsi, tetapi belum mampu mengungkapkan kemungkinan siswa menggunakan berbagai model konsepsi dalam menjawab pertanyaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Model Analysis untuk menganalisis konsistensi konsepsi. Penulis mengujikan pertanyaan terbuka sehingga diperoleh pola jawaban yang menunjukkan model-model konsepsi yang dimiliki siswa. Model konsepsi tersebut yaitu model konsep yang benar, model yang miskonsep, dan model yang salah konsep. Pola tersebut dimodifikasi menjadi opsi untuk pertanyaan pilihan ganda. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis menggunakan matriks yang menunjukkan konsistensi konsepsi siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salahsatu SMA di Purwakarta, dengan sampel salahsatu kelas XII di sekolah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa miskonsepsi sangat dominan mempengaruhi jawaban siswa, sehingga siswa sulit membedakan miskonsepsi dengan konsep yang benar. Konsistensi konsepsi juga dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor di luar pengalaman belajar di Sekolah. Kata Kunci : Konsistensi Konsepsi Siswa, Miskonsepsi, Model Analysis Many researches had reported that students have many pre-conceptions that often different from scientifically accepted concept, thus alternative conceptions arised on building concept processes. Many diagnostic intruments had been developed to reveal its presence, but it can't reveal the probabilities that students use various models of conception when answering questions yet. This study used Model Analysis as a method for analyzing consistency of students' conceptions. This method tests sets of open-ended question to students to obtain pattern of students' answer showed students' models of conceptions, these are true model, alternative conception model, and wrong concept model. Pattern of students' answer then modified to be options on multiple choices question. It was then analyzed by matrix showed us concistency of students' conception. This research held in one of Senior High School in Purwakarta, with the sample of one of the XII class in that school. This study showed us that alternative conceptions dominantly influencing students' answer, thus students having a hard time on identificating the differerences between alternative conceptions and true concepts. The consistency of students' conceptions also influenced by many factors beside physics lecture in school. Keyword : Alternative Conception, Consistency of Students' Conception, Model Analysis
