Efektivitas kerja pegawai khususnya pegawai dalam mengelola arsip atau arsiparis menjadi suatu aspek yang mempunyai nilai strategis dalam mencapai suatu tujuan organisasi khusunya organisasi pemerintahan. Dalam Penelitian ini tujuannya yaitu Untuk mengetahui pengaruh efektivitas pendidikan dan pelatihan (Diklat) kearsipan terhadap penguasaan kompetensi pegawai, Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penguasaan kompetensi pegawai terhadap efektivitas kerja pegawai dan Untuk mengetahui pengaruh efektivitas pendidikan dan pelatihan (Diklat) kearsipan terhadap penguasaan kompetensi pegawai dan dampaknya terhadap efektivitas kerja pegawai di Lingkungan Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat. Disamping itu juga, metode yang digunakan ialah metode survey sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan 4 skala. Adapun populasi yang diambil adalah berjumlah 48 arsiparis yang telah mengikuti diklat kearsipan di Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan regresi sebagai teknik analisis data. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan (Diklat) kearsipan terhadap kompetensi pegawai termasuk dalam kategori sedang, pengaruh kompetensi pegawai terhadap efektivitas kerja termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan terdapat pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan kearsipan terhadap efektivitas kerja pegawai yang dimediasi kompetensi pegawai. Kata Kunci: pendidikan dan pelatihan, kompetensi pegawai, efektivitas kerja (The work effectiveness of employees, especially employees in managing archives or archivists, becomes an aspect that has a strategic value in achieving an organizational goal, especially government organizations. In this study the aim is to determine the effect of the effectiveness of archival education and training on the mastery of employee competencies, To determine the effect of mastery employee competence on employee work effectiveness and To determine the effect of the effectiveness of education and training (Diklat) archiving on the mastery of employee competencies and their impact on the effectiveness of employee work in the West Java Provincial Government Environment. Besides that, the method used is the survey method while the data collection technique uses a questionnaire with 4 scales. The population taken is 48 archivists who have attended archival training in the West Java Provincial Government. This study uses regression as a data analysis technique. The results show that the effect of archival education and training on employee competency is included in the moderate category, the effect of employee competency on work effectiveness is included in the moderate category and there is an influence on education and archiving training on employee work effectiveness mediated by employee competency.
