520 | |a Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca berita Sunda siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Bandung taun ajar 2019/2020. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) kemampuan membaca berita siswa di kelas yang tidak menggunakan strategi Practice Rehearsal Pairs; 2) kemampuan membaca berita siswa di kelas yang menggunakan strategi Practice Rehearsal Pairs; 3) adanya keefektifitasan strategi Practice Rehearsal Pairs dalam strategi Practice Rehearsal Pairs. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi eksperimen murni, dengan desain posttest-Only Control Desig. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Bandung taun ajar 2019/2020. Sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIII A dan kelas VIII B. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan hasil yaitu tes lisan. Hasil penelitiannya adalah, sehubung adanya perbedaan rata-ratanya strategi ini signifikan. Menurut uji hipotesis Wilcoxon W. berdasarkan non-parametric test. Dari hasil uji hipotesis alternative (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi Practice Rehearsal Pairs efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran membaca berita siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. PRACTICE REHEARSAL PAIRS STRATEGY IN LEARNING READING NEWS (Eksperiment Study for Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 12 Bandung Acaademic Year 2019/2020) ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low ability to read Sundanese language news of students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 12 Bandung on 2019/2020. This study aims to describe: 1) the ability to read news of students in class who do not use the Practice Rehearsal Pairs strategy; 2) the ability to read the news of students in class using the Practice Rehearsal Pairs strategy; 3) the effectiveness of the Rehearsal Pairs Practice strategy to improve the ability to read news of students in class who do not use and use the Rehearsal Pairs Practice strategy. The method used is a pure experimental study method, with posttest-Only Control Desig design. The population in this study were students in class VIII SMP Negeri12 Bandung in academic year 2019/2020. The sample is students of class VIII A and class VIII B. The instrument used to collect results is an oral test. The results of the study are, due to the significant difference in the average strategy. According to the Wilcoxon W. hypothesis test based on a non-parametric test. From the results of the alternative hypothesis test (Ha) accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the Rehearsal Pairs Practice strategy is effectively used in learning to read news of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Bandung in Academic Year 2019/2020. | ||
