Summary:Self assessment deteksi kesalahan merupakan aspek penting yang dapat membantu peserta didik meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mereka terhadap pembelajaran, yang selanjutnya dapat memperbaiki pemahaman terhadap materi pembelajaran serta memperbaiki proses belajar peserta didik. Namun, kegiatan self assessment deteksi kesalahan belum optimal dilakukan oleh guru dan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi kemampuan pengaturan diri dan kognitif peserta didik melalui implementasi self assessment deteksi kesalahan pada akhir proses pembelajaran materi usaha dan energi menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen yaitu two nonequivalent groups with a pre-intervention and post-intervention test design. Partisipan penelitian adalah peserta didik SMA kelas X terdiri dari 27 peserta didik (11 laki-laki dan 16 perempuan) pada kelas kontrol dan 31 peserta didik (12 laki-laki dan 19 perempuan) pada kelas eksperimen yang dipilih dengan teknik convenience sampling. Kemampuan pengaturan diri diukur menggunakan self assessment deteksi kesalahan dan tugas pengaturan diri, sedangkan kemampuan kognitif diukur menggunakan Tes Kemampuan Kognitif (TKK). Skor self assessment deteksi kesalahan dan tugas pengaturan diri dianalisis menggunakan persentase skor dan uji perbedaan rata-rata, skor pre-intervention dan post-intervention test dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji perbedaan rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pengaturan diri peserta didik pada kelas kontrol dan eksperimen, peserta didik belum sepenuhnya menggunakan hasil self assessment deteksi kesalahan dalam pemilihan tugas pengaturan diri. Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan kognitif peserta didik sebelum dan setelah implementasi self assessment deteksi kesalahan. Self assessment deteksi kesalahan menjadi alternatif untuk melatih kemampuan pengaturan diri peserta didik untuk menentukan strategi belajar secara mandiri. Self assessment of error detection is an important aspect that can help students increase their confidence in learning, which can further improve understanding of learning material and improve the learning process. However, self assessment of error detection activities have not been optimally carried out by teachers and students in the learning process. This study aims to detect students' self regulation and cognitive abilities through the implementation of self assessment of error detection at the end of the learning process of work and energy material using quasi-experimental methods with two nonequivalent groups with a pre-intervention and post-intervention test design. The study participants were grade X high school students consisting of 27 students (11 male and 16 female) in the control class and 31 students (12 male and 19 female) in the experimental class who were selected by convenience sampling technique. Self regulation ability was measured using self assessment of error detection and self regulated tasks, while cognitive ability was measured using the Cognitive Ability Test (CAT). Self assessment of error detection and self regulated tasks scores were analyzed using percentage scores and average difference tests, pre-intervention and post-intervention test scores were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the mean difference test. The results showed that there were differences in the students' self regulation abilities in the control and experimental classes, students had not fully used the results of the self assessment of error detection in selection self regulated tasks. There are differences in the cognitive abilities of students before and after the implementation of the self assessment of error detection. Self assessment of error detection is an alternative for training students' self regulation ability to determine learning strategies independently.
