ABSTRAK Ovy Septi Vane (1803199) Transformasi Nilai-Nilai Bararak Bako Dalam Tradisi Perkawinan Masyarakat Kota Solok Masyarakat Indonesia terdiri dari berbagai macam ras, etnis, agama, adat-istiadat. Salah satu keberagaman budaya dimiliki oleh masyarakat Minangkabau yang menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai kebudayaannya. Pelaksanaan bararak bako merupakan bukti legitimasi masyarakat terhadap salah satu kearifan lokal adat Minangkabau. Bararak bako memiliki nilai-nilai budaya yang arif dan sakral, namun kini mengalami perubahan bentuk nilai tradisi bararak bako pada perkawinan masyarakat Solok. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang transformasi nilai bararak bako dalam tradisi perkawinan masyarakat di Kota Solok. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan: (1) Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam bararak bako adalah nilai gotong royong, nilai kekeluargaan, nilai kebersamaan, hal tersebut tersirat dalam nilai yang bertujuan sebagai pedoman masyarakat dalam mempertahankan dan melestarikan suatu nilai yang ada dalam tardisi bararak bako. (2) Peran niniak mamak dan bako dalam tradisi bararak bako ini meliputi awal pelaksanaan hingga tahap akhir, dalam kegiatan adat niniak mamak dan bako sangat penting dan dihargai oleh masyarakat Kota Solok. (3) Perubahan bentuk nilaidalam tradisi bararak bako yang terjadi saat ini ialah pada prestise (properti) yang akan digunakan ketika pelaksanaan bararak bako yaitu: awalnya kado sekarang berubah menjadi uang (amplop) karena dianggap lebih bermanfaat, dan dahulu pada saat bararak bako tidak ada yang menggunakan accesories berupa tas, tetapi pada saat sekarang ini malah banyak memakai atau menggunakan tas ketika bararak bako, serta ada yang berpakaian bukan baju (kuruang basiba) kurung adat Solok, namun sekarang ini ada yang memakai baju kebaya modern atau baju gamis. One of the cultural diversity is owned by the Minangkabau people who uphold their cultural values. The implementation of the bararak bako is proof of the community's legitimacy to one of the Minangkabau indigenous local wisdoms. Bararak bako has cultural values that are wise and sacred, but now it is experiencing a change in the form of the traditional value of bararak bako in the marriage of the Solok community. The purpose of this research is to get an overview of the transformation of the bararak bako value in the community marriage tradition in Solok City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation, then the data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of this study indicate: (1) The values contained in the bararak bako are the value of mutual cooperation, the value of kinship, the value of togetherness, this is implied in the values that aim to guide the community in maintaining and preserving the values contained in the bararak bako tradition. (2) The role of niniak mamak and bako in this bararak bako tradition includes the beginning of implementation to the final stage, in the traditional activities of niniak mamak and bako are very important and respected by the people of Solok City. (3) The change in the form of value in the tradition of bararak bako that occurs today is the prestige (property) that will be used when carrying out the bararak bako, namely: initially gifts are now turned into money (envelopes) because they are considered more useful, and in the past when the bako bararak was not available. those who use accesories in the form of bags, but nowadays, many wear or use bags when bararak bako, and some are dressed instead of clothes (kuruang basiba) with traditional Solok brackets, but now there are those who wear modern kebaya or robe clothes.
