Summary:Relevansi antara lembaga penghasil calon tenaga kerja dengan dunia industri semakin dipersoalkan. Oleh karena itu Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP) sebagai lembaga pemasok calon tenaga kerja terus mengadakan berbagai perbaikan dan penyempurnaan program pelatihan sesuai kondisi dan perkembangan tuntutan dunia industri. Berdasarkan hasil kajian bahwa salah satu program yang perlu mendapat perhatian adalah berkaitan dengan model pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi peserta yang mendekati karakteristik dan tuntutan dunia industri. Untuk itu, melalui kajian ini dikembangkan pengembangan model worked based learning untuk meningkatkan kompenetsi peserta didik dalam memenuhi tuntutan DUDI. Kajian ini menggunakan Metode penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development), dengan pendekatan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Kajian ini dilakuakn di LKP Lily Kabupaten Cianjur, sebagai salah satu lembaga yang telah menjalin kerjasama dengan PT NOTOS. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah sebanyak 52 orang peserta pelatihan. Hasil kajiannya dapat disimpulkan bahwa : Pertama, secara empirik bahwa daya serap alumni LKP banyak dipengaruhi oleh adanya kerjasama dengan industri atau perusahaan dalam bentuk pengembangan kurikulum dan penguatan kompetensi peserta kursus melalui pengalaman bekerja; Kedua, secara konseptual model Work Based Learning (WBL) yang dikembangakan berpijak pada landasan teori, landasan yuridis dan landasan empiris, meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi; Ketiga, dengan dukungan berbagai pihak antara lain pengelola, instruktur, peserta kursus dan perusahaan atau industri, model WBL dapat diimplementasikan sesuai dengan harapan; dan Keempat, model yang dikembangkan setelah melalui implementasi menunjukkan hasil yang efektif, didasarkan atas adanya perbedaan kompetensi peserta didik kursus dalam memenuhi kebutuhan DUDI sesudah diterapkannya model Work Based Learning. Therefore, the Course and Training Institution as an institution which supplying prospective workers made various repairement and improvements continuously to the training program in accordance with the conditions and developments in the industrial field demand. Based on the results of the study that one program that need attention is related to the training model to improve the competencies of participants who are close to the characteristics and the industrial field demand. For this reason, through this study the development of working based learning models was developed to improve student compensation in meeting DUDI demands. This study used research and development methods (research and development), with qualitative and quantitative approaches. This study was carried out at Lily Course and Training Institution of Cianjur Regency, as one of the institutions that had established cooperation with PT NOTOS. While the samples in this study were 52 participants. The results of the study can be concluded that: First, empirically that the absorption of Course and Training Institution alumni is much influenced by the cooperation with industry or companies in the form of curriculum development and strengthening the competency of course participants through work experience; Second, the conceptualized Work Based Learning (WBL) model that is developed rests on a theoretical foundation, a legal basis and an empirical basis, including planning, implementing, and evaluating; Third, with the support of various parties including managers, instructors, course participants and companies or industries, the WBL model can be implemented as expected; and Fourth, the model developed after implementation showed effective results, based on differences in the competence of course students in DUDI needs fulfillment after the Work Based Learning model is applied.
