Summary

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh keberagaman tradisi yang dimiliki masyarakat Indonesia, yaitu suku Minangkabau. Suku ini memiliki tradisi merantau yang sudah berlangsung lama sejak luas wilayah Minangkabau sebatas Luak Nan Tigo. Tujuan merantau masyarakat Minangkabau untuk mencari kehidupan yang lebih baik di kampung halaman. Selama di perantauan, masyarakat Minang menuliskan keluh kesahnya melalui sebuah lagu sebagai salah satu media untuk menyampaikan curahan hatinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman terkait struktur teks lirik lagu berbahasa Minang, konteks penuturan, proses penciptaan, fungsi dan maknanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Artinya penelitian ini bermaksud untuk memahami fenomena yang dialami dan terjadi oleh subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukan bahwa struktur teks ketiga lagu umumnya bersifat monolog seperti puisi yang memiliki suku kata yang teratur, tetapi tidak begitu terikat seperti puisi terikat. Konteks penuturan pada ketiga teks disesuaikan dengan sosial budaya masyarakat perantau Minang di Kota Bandung. Proses penciptaan pada ketiga teks bersifat terstruktur. Fungsi umumnya berkaitan dengan sistem proyeksi, pengesahan kebudayaan, memberikan jalan yang dibenarkan oleh masyarakat agar merasa lebih superior dan hiburan. Makna pada ketiga teks menunjukan sikap kecintaan masyarakat terhadap kampung halaman. Kata kunci: tradisi, perantauan, kesetiaan, masyarakat Minang ABSTRACT The background of the research is the diversity of Indonesian tradition, the namely of Minangkabau. This tribe has a long tradition since the Minangkabau area was limited to Luak Nan Tigo. The purpose of migrating Minangkabau people is to find a better life in their hometown. While overseas, the Minang community wrote their complaints through a song as a medium to convey their outpouring. This study aims to gain an understanding of the teks structure of the Minang language song lyric, the context of the narrative, creation proses, meaning and function. The methods used in this research is qualitative research methods. This means that this research intends to understand the phenomena experienced and occuring by research subject. The results of the research that have been done show that the text structure of the text of the three songs is generally monologue like poetry which has regular syllables, but is not as tied as bound poetry. The narrative context in the three texts is adapted to the sociocultural community of Minang migrants in Bandung. The creation process of the three texts is structured. Its general function is related to the projection system, the legalization of culture, to provide a way that is justified by the community to feel superior and entertain. The meaning of the three text shows the attitude of people's for their hometown. Key words: tradition, overseas, loyalty, Minang people
