Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya beberapa novel Sunda yang diekranisasi, salah satunya adalah novel "Sangggeus Halimun Peuray" karya Aam Amilia. Novel ini diekranisasi menjadi pilem "Halimun" pada tahun 1982 oleh Sofia W.D. Dari hal tersebut, memperlihatkan bahwa novel yang diekranisasi tentunya akan mengalami perubahan pada beberapa aspek. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui stuktur cerita novel "Sanggeus Halimun Peuray" dan film "Halimun", persamaan dan perbedaan struktur cerita novel dan film, dan proses ekranisasi novel "Sanggeus Halimun Peuray" ke film "Halimun". Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori struktural dalam konsep Robert Stanton dan teori ekranisasi dalam konsep George Blustone. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah novel Sanggeus Halimun Peuray dan film Halimun. Metode dan teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, teknik telaah pustaka dan studi dokumentasi, sedangkan analisisnya menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu instrumen untuk mengumpulkan data (ceklis buku sumber) dan instrumen untuk mengolah data (kartu data). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini terdapat 1) struktur cerita novel dan film yang terdiri dari tema, alur, tokoh dan penokohan, juga latar, 2) persamaan dan perbedaan struktur cerita yang dipengaruhi oleh adanya hasil kreatif dari sutradara dan penulis skenario, dalam hal ini sutradara masih menyesuaikan tema yang ada dalam pilem sama dengan yang ada di novel, 3) adanya proses ekranisasi dalam aspek penciutan, penambahan, dan berubahnya variasi pada alur, tokoh dan penokohan, juga latar. ECRANISATION OF NOVEL SANGGEUS HALIMUN PEURAY BY AAM AMILIA INTO THE FILM OF HALIMUN BY SOFIA W.D Widya Mega Novani ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the existence of a few Sundanese novels that have been ecranisation, one of which is the novel "Sangggeus Halimun Peuray" by Aam Amilia. This novel was ecranisation into a "Halimun" film in 1982 by Sofia W.D. From this, it shows that the novels that have been ecranisation will certainly experience changes in several aspects. Therefore, this research aims to find out the structure of the novel "Sanggeus Halimun Peuray" and the film "Halimun", the similarities and differences in the structure of novel and film stories, and the process of ecranisation of the novel "Sanggeus Halimun Peuray" to the film "Halimun". The theory used in this study is the structural theory in the concept of Robert Stanton and the theory of ecranisation in the concept of George Blustone. The data sources used are Sanggeus Halimun Peuray's novel and Halimun film. The methods and techniques used in this research are descriptive methods, literature review techniques and documentation studies, while the analysis uses a qualitative approach. The instrument used was divided into two, namely instruments for collecting data (check source books) and instruments for processing data (data cards). The conclusions of this study are 1) the structure of the novel and film stories consisting of themes, plot, characters and characterizations, as well as the setting, 2) similarities and differences in the structure of the story that are influenced by the creative results of the director and screenwriter, in this case the director is still adjust the themes in the same movie as those in the novel, 3) the process of ekranisasi in aspects of shrinking, adding, and changing variations in the plot, characters and characterizations, as well as the setting.
