Penilaian adalah salah satu bagian terpenting dalam pembelajaran. Penilaian dapat mendorong siswa untuk lebih meningkatkan kemampuan berpikirnya. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas butir soal penilaian tengah semester (PTS) IPA kelas V tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang ditinjau dari indikator berpikir kritis. Lokasi penelitian adalah SD Negeri 1 Tuk Kecamatan Kedawung Kabupaten Cirebon. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah butir soal PTS IPA kelas V tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Partisipan dalam penelitian adalah guru kelas V SD Negeri 1 Tuk. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah menurut Miles & Huberman yaitu koleksi data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ditemukan: (1) tidak terdapat indikator berpikir kritis pada soal PTS IPA kelas V SD tahun ajaran 2019/2020. (2) terdapat kesulitan guru dalam mengembangkan butir soal PTS IPA kelas V ditinjau dari indikator berpikir kritis. ----- Assessment is one of the most important parts of learning. Assessment can encourage students to further improve their thinking skills. This research aimed to determine the quality of the science midterm assessment in grade five for 2019/2020 that examine from critical thinking indicator. The research took place in elementary school 1 Tuk, Kedawung District, Cirebon Regency. The method of the research used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The object of this research is the item about PTS science grade five for 2019/2020. The respondent consisted teacher of grade five in elementary school 1 Tuk. Data collection technique used documentation study and interview. The data analysis technique used data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion (Miles & Huberman). The research outcomes were: (1) there were no indicators of critical thinking in science midterm assessment grade five for 2019/2020. (2) there were difficulties for the teacher for developed the science midterm assessment examined from critical thinking indicators.
