Tradisi Carita Pantun Munding Jalingan merupakan tradisi yang masih dipegang teguh oleh masyarakat adat kasepuhan kampung Ciptagelar Sukabumi sebagai genre sastra lisan teks cerita rakyat yang memiliki struktur dan unsur-unsur prosa dan puisi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah paradigma kualitatif pada kajian tradisi lisan, dengan teknik penelusuran kepustakaan, wawancara mendalam dan terbuka, perekaman dan pendokumentasian, pengamatan terlibat, serta konvensi tradisi lisan. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama Carita Pantun Munding Jalingan sebagai genre sastra lisan teks cerita rakyat memiliki struktur dan unsur-unsur prosa dan puisi. Kedua, hasil analisis Carita Pantun Munding Jalingan sebagai bahan pembelajaran berorientasi higher order thinking skills (HOTS) di sekolah menengah atas bisa diimplementasikan. Hal itu berdasarkan dari cerita pantunnya sendiri yang merupakan bagian dari genre cerita rakyat yang terdapat dalam kompetensi dasar kurikulum 2013. Ketiga upaya pelestarian tradisi Carita Pantun Munding Jalingan bisa dilakukan juga dengan bentuk pendokumentasian dan seminar, serta revitalisasi pelaksanaan tradisi cerita berdasarkan perkembangan peradaban masyarakatnya. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah teks Carita Pantun Munding Jalingan yang digelar pada rangkaian upacara seren taun pada masyarakat adat kasepuhan kampung Ciptagelar sebagai genre sastra lisan yang termasuk dalam kategori teks cerita rakyat dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan teknik higher order thinking skills (HOTS). Rekomendasi penelitian ini ditujukan kepada pihak-pihak yang berkaitan dan berkepentingan dengan Carita Pantun Munding Jalingan dan dunia pendidikan pada umumnya. Kata kunci: Carita Pantun Munding Jalingan, kurikulum 2013 berorientasi HOTS, kearifan lokal, dan pelestarian Cucu Kartini, 2020. Story of Munding Jalingan rhyme, is the tradition that is still firmly adhered to by the kasepuhan indigenous people of Ciptagelar Sukabumi village as a genre of oral literature, folklore texts that have a structure and elements of prose and poetry. The research method used was qualitative examining oral tradition, the techniques of which comprised literature search, in-depth and open interviews, recording and documentation, participant observation, and oral tradition conventions. The results of this study are as follows. The first is the story of Munding Jalingan rhyme as an oral literary genre, folklore texts have structures and elements of prose and poetry. Second the results of the analysis of the Munding Jalingan rhyme story as a learning material oriented to higher order thinking skills (Hots) in senior high schools can be implemented. This is of the folklore genre contained in the basic competencies of the 2013 curriculum. Third efforts to preserve the tradition of Munding Jalingan rhyme story can also be done by decomenting and seminars, as well as revitalizing the implementation of the story tradition based on the development of the civilization of the community. The conclusion of this study is that the text Carita Pantun Munding Jalingan which was held in a series of Seren Taun ceremonies in the kasepuhan indigenous community in Ciptagelar village as a genre of oral literature which is included in the category of folklore texts can be used as Indonesian Language learning materials using the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) technique. The recommendations of this research are addressed to parties related to and with an interest in Carita Pantun Munding Jalingan and the world of education in general.
