520 | |a The graduates of a teacher training school (Sekolah Pendidikan Guru : SPG) are required to perform their competencies when they start their Job as kindergarten or primary school teachers- i.e. to implement successfully the formal existing school curriculum. To meet those requirements therefore the SPG graduates should have the appropriate behavioral characteristic evidenced by related knowledge, skills, certain personality traits,and positive attitudes toward the teaching job.The present study is aimed at analyzing the relationship between two groups of these supporting personality variables and their attitudes toward their prospective job. According to the present study, the personality profile (provided by the EPPS) of the students at the public SPG's in West Java, seemed to show the tendency of; (l) high intensity for working orderly (n-rorder), working cooperatively with othe people (n-affiliation), and participating in the activities involving different sexes (n-heterosexuality); (2) moderate intensity for working seriously for personal achieveroant (n-aehievement), making their own decision autonomously (n-autonomy), and responsive to and accepting change and reform (n-change);(3) very | ||
